Pakkahad CXVII
A planet in the Pakkahad System.
This is the 117th planet form the star. As such, it is cold despite the parent star being an extremely massive class O star.
The surface temperature is typically just under 0°C. There is a lot of ice on the world, and the planet has little atmosphere.
The surface is filled with craters from asteroid impacts because they do not burn up in the non existant atmosphere.
However, it is not entirely empty. It is often mined by the Hyperion Federation for the vast quantities of ice, which is disassembled into oxygen and hydrogen atoms and used as matter plasma.
The planet has a singular, large moon that is tidally locked with the planet. There are few natural features that are of interest. As with many planets with a low value, Pakkahad CXVII can be an effective world for weapon testing. However, as the Pakkahad system is immense and very populated, it is not likely to make an effective blacksite due to how sophisticated HF scanning machines are. This world still makes an excellent testing area with no environment to pollute. Furthermore, all machines would decay at a much slower rate on this planet because of the nonexistance of water (all water is in an ice state). This also helps to make it very easy to extract water. Due to the very advanced nature of HF technology, including use of QEN machines, very few unnatural deaths have occured on this planet.
