Xaolia

Gas giant in the Arak System. This world forms the capital of the Micars Empire, but is not the Drath homeworld. The Drath homeworld is Micars.
Micars was invaded by a mysterious alien faction, that is now annihilated. The Drath retreated to Xaolia because of its relatively calm atmosphere, ideal conditions to put habitation stations in orbit around the world. This atmosphere hid them from alien scanners efficiently.
Xaolia has a orange-yellow colouration from orbit and a large asteroid ring which is partly comprised of ice. Despite this the asteroid belt is mostly unremarkable. The planet itself is known to have a very calm atmosphere for a gas giant, and the Micars took advantage of the very close proximity they had to the gas giant by extracting a lot of its hydrogen to power their technology. This included machines which allowed them to float. Although the upper atmosphere is very thick, it is comprised of a relatively light gas. This has blocked the sensors of the unknown faction that invaded Micars. Apart from that, it had a denser heavier gas for the lower layers which is what the Micars stations often floated on. Deeper still is the typical metallic hydrogen layer which almost all gas giants would have.
