Mercy Malichor takes a "nature" walk with a female servant, whom he never returns with. She is one of many sacrifices.

Climax

After Mercy Malichor graduates from school, Robert Spencer, possessed by Malichor, turns Mercy Malichor into a woman.

Falling Action

Robert Spencer and Mercy Malichor become a couple.

Resolution

They have a child together, the first of the Mongrels.
