The Bludgeon Halls

The Bludgeon Halls is a nation of dwarves situated between the 4th and 6th minor vein in the mountainous region close to the main vein. It arose after the sundering when a prominent dwarven clan left the Church of Veritas and settled in the region. It has stayed strong throughout the main conflicts of the leaf, as whenever foreign threats advance, they hide behind their walls. This isolationist and opportunistic foreign relations have left them with little friends, and made them like an island state. They have never been prosperous, but they also never have been destroyed. In the current Dormant Advance, they simply locked the gates and waited like they did in the Dragon Blight. But an internal threat may be more pressing than the outer, for a relic of Uz lay deep below Bludgeon Halls.   This Relic, a philactory of Avarice, was creating dark dwarves out of the buried dead of the Bludgeon Halls. Dingloris Rockharvest was one of these dwarves, and was the first to wake back up. She, with the help of her entertainment troupe Neih's Breath, revive the other dark dwarves. With this army of the reborn, she took over the Bludgeon Halls. She keeps the relic secret from the world, as the ire of the veritian zealots could bring doom to her new kingdom.

Geography

The nation is located in a mountain range. Much of the cities are built in the intricate and vast tunnel system underneath their greatest mountains. The nation itself has built a series of walls around the mountains called the Dwarven Defense. No one has ever assailed those walls in war, though no one has truly attempted.

Natural Resources

The region has vast mineral wealth and cosmic sugar reserves. Whenever the Bludgeon Halls is open for business, which is rare due to their paranoia, the whole continent has an influx of cheap metals that surpass most other makes. This creates a animosity within the market against the Bludgeon Halls, though political powers like the cheap goods.

Tourism

There are three main mountains within the Bludgeon Halls that have been developed into dwarven mining cities. There is the original mine, the Bludgeon Halls, which became the name of the country proper. The second was Steel Dig, an iron capital of the world. The third was Furnace Fell, which is known for its artisans and craftsmen. There is also a failed mine called Barren Hole, where every decade some new dwarf prospector seeking to catch it rich makes an expedition to the place and bankrupts themselves. It is a ghost mine, cursed by the dwarves of Bludgeon Halls.
