Hag's Inn
Hag's Inn is a fey settlement on the south western side of the Southern Farmlands. It acts as the natural border between the farmlands and the Dormant Lands. As a fey settlement, it does not truly follow the design of civilized races. Rather, it is a large magical forest that only children and other fey can enter. It is home to the great hag, the Baba Yaga, as well as many other covens of hags seeking mischief on the world. Many hags congregate in Hag's Inn because of the protection Baba Yaga gives, fleeing from the ire of the civilized peoples after their arrival and conquests a thousand years prior. But, they were not completely isolationists waiting to charm and trap children. They at times seek to aid their neighbors, such as the time Baba Yaga and a collective of nine hags aided the Greenscale Hunters in the imprisonment of the ancient green dragon Balmerrait, or the crone coven joining the Dormant Cult after seeing the mighty death spirit, the Ankou. They even sent a hag emissary to the Eternal diplomatic mission at Capitol to undermine the Sovereign People's plans, but that hag got distracted. Nevertheless, like other fey nations, they keep to their own ways.
Demographics
Mostly hags and their evil minions, but the forest is first and foremost under the dominion of Neih, and his Summer seraph has left spirits to watch over the woods. They are a light in a dark place, but are mostly neutral to the hags' ways.
Government
While Baba Yaga is the ruler, her dominion is one of veto power and no more. She does not interfere with the plots of her sister hags unless it risks the safety of the forest or her own life (the latter moreso than the former). Otherwise, the numerous covens that make their home there are free to follow their own whims.
Defences
Its main defence is the ancient magic that keeps all but fey and children out of the woods. Baba Yaga claims it is her magic, but those claims are dubious. The second defense is that the inner workings of the forest are like a maze, unmappable and confusing. Even the hags do not know all the paths that entertwine through the roots and branches of this ancient wood. So, like spiders, they use their magic to lure children in and hope they wander into their trap.
