The Southern Farmlands

The Southern Farmlands is the lower central region on the Veritian Leaf with the 5th and 6th minor vein to its north and the 7th and 8th minor vein to its south. It is not a unified region or country, but rather homes several prominent city states. There is the halfling Summer worshipping city of Evermore, the gothic city of Draught, the twin bastions of Break, and the fey council of Silihadron on its western side. The west also once held the mighty magical city of Val'ul, but some planar event made it vanish, replacing it with the Ulian Sea. The Eastern side has the dwarven city of Tel'ul, the loose collective of cities simply called the Three City region, and the yuan-ti settlement of Glade. Sistern's Lair, the prison of the great ancient dragon Balmerrait is also on the eastern side.   Though it is called the southern farmlands, even with the majority of the population living in small rural agrarian communities, the region is not the most productive on the Veritian Leaf. Not only did the yuan-ti artificially make a desert in the south-eastern region around their city, they have also taken the brunt of the Dormant Advance's scorched earth tactics. Unless the Dormant can be pushed back, there is little hope for the region recovering.

Geography

By the main vein in the center of this region are two mountain ranges. These are simply called the Veritian Mountain Range, as it stretches from the Southern Farmlands up to Church of Veritas territory. It is bordered on the eastern and western sides by the Fey Wilds, large forests. The southern region also has vast forests before reaching the Dormant Lands. A desert has been artificially made in the region of Glade in the south eastern portion, and a the Ulian sea was formed after the disaster of Val'ul in the north western portion. Much of the rest is moderately arable lands, except perhaps the moors around Tel'ul which has becoming mining land. South of the desert is a pocket of tropical forests emerging after a gith cosmic sugar mine accident.
