Evermore

Evermore is a halfling city state in the Southern Farmlands. It is one of the hubs of Summer Worship and is known for his dissension which lead to the Sundering of the Church of Veritas. It is also known for being the second city to fall in the Southern Farmlands during the Dormant Rise.

Demographics

It is a halfling region.

Government

It is a theocracy, with the Summer Worship high priest ruling over the city. The high priest is chosen by a group of deacons or by the direct intervention of the Seraph of Summer. During the Dormant occupation, the city was ruled by a despotic general of Fall call Tash.

Defences

Evermore was a peaceful city following the tenets of Summer in feasting and enjoying life. Thus, they had little defenses other than an order of paladins.

Infrastructure

Most the city follows the halfling motif of burrows and the rural rustic feel, though one section has the more human above ground build. Evermore also has a series of churches spotting the city, with a large cathedral serving as the city's central government.

History

In the year 1036, the city was conquered by the Dormant Cult in their advance to take over the world. It spent the next five years under brutal occupation, its people scattered or enslaved. Refugees from Evermore could be found in every city north of it, reaching all the way to Tumult.

Tourism

Like other Summer Worshipping cities, Evermore is a destination for pilgrims of that cult. But there are also a lot of folks from Break and Draught who visit the city for a good time. Tourism had died though when the Dormant Cult took over.   The Symbol of Evermore is a mug with flowers in it.

Geography

It is situated in a hilly region at the southern tip of the central Veritian mountain range.
