Baba Yaga

Baba Yaga is the arch fey mother of hags on the Veritian Leaf. Unlike the Fairy Queen of Fey Banquet and the Duke of Oriaphia, Baba Yaga was not born with the leaf but rather emigrated later. It is unknown where she came from, some claiming she fled the Shadar Kai lands or travelled with the Gith gates, but the timeline never truly aligned. She likes to keep it mysterious, so her origins remain the area of debate and theorizing. She makes her abode in Hag's Inn, a haven for hags and a trap for children.
While an evil force, her goals and motives are hard to decipher. During the Dragon Blight, she was adamently opposed to the conquering green dragons and aided in the chaining of Balmerrait. And during the Dormant Rise, she cast out her Fall aligned daughters and activelly blocked their advance into the Southern Farmlands. Both these proved to be to the benefit of the civilized peoples. But she still eats children. One of the great debates in the young country of SPN was whether to destroy her or not. It is the "evil you know versus the evil you don't" scenerio.
