Ten Thousand Lakes Region

The Ten Thousand Lakes region is located south west of the Great Droplet Sea and the central mountain range ending at the mountains which form the Bludgeon Halls. The name explains its geography, consisting of lakes beyond number. It is home to numerous city states vying for control of the region. This tribalism kept the region divided and wartone, only uniting to fight against the encroachments of their more powerful neighbors. Even though foreign empires never outright lose against the locals, they make it not worth the effort. Thus, the region remains a territory of bickering warlords and outlaws.

Geography

The number of lakes leading to the Great Droplet Sea makes the region fairly swampy. The odd mountain or hill does pop out of the region, often become the settled regions for grazing or farming, but the amount of mist and water that gets trapped in the region often makes it poor land for agriculture or husbandry. Thus, fishing, mining and hunting became the main industries here, none of which grew to any noticeable level. The people of this region main source of income was war, fighting for the limited resources or the gains of another.
