Sleeping Miasmas
The Sleeping Miasmas is a wall of fog in the Dormant Lands splitting up the Saltflats and the Gladic Desert from the Dormant Lands. The Dormant Cult put it up during the Dormant Advance of 1030, as their eastern flank had no natural defenses like their western with Hag's Inn and the Western Fey Wilds. The Dormant Cult is not one to go for temporary measures, and after their defeat the Sleeping Miasmas remained. While the Dormant built defensible tunnels underneath the Miasmas, it is otherwise impenetrable by living creatures, as the miasmas knocks them out with excessive oxygen. The miasmas is not visible, so the dangers are hard to challenge. Since the Dormant Defeat, the SPN and the Shadar Kai have marked the region with warning signs. Most assume it is magic, and there is not much traffic going to the Dormant Lands, so there has been no serious efforts to clean up the miasmas, not until Boar Logistics arose in 1104 and began developing a path to the Hare Collective through it.
