Lithstarr Vault

Lithstarr (lights dawn) is the temple that is the seat of the D'Lith and the Jharette faith. It is a massive fortified temple complex and administrative hub. The complex is built around a large underground network of wide square tunnels leading to uniform rooms which is called Lithstar's vault. It is said that the 1st D'Lith found the tunnels already carved into the rocks ready to be used. He preached how this was the other aspect of Barsamin from The Fall of Barsamin myth. He preached that the lower aspect of the temple fell into the earth destroying Prometheus, while the high aspect floated down to the earth lightly settling into the rocks at this sacred holy site.

Purpose / Function

The purpose of these tunnels was unknown. The were found here uninhabited. The 1st Lith claimed that these were the rements of Barsamin that floated to the ground instead of crashing to the ground. However, the tunnels seem to be carvered into the rock itself. Their seems to be no indication that these could be detached from the surrounding rock. The tunnels themselves burrow into the rock. The central tunnel is about 15 ft wide and 15 ft tall and perfectly square. Upon closer examination the walls of the tunnel are not bare rock they appear to be coated with a opaque clear glass like substance. Once the main tunnel descends 200 ft under ground in ends in a large circular room. Smaller tunnels branch off from this room and led to hundreds of smaller rooms off these tunnels. Each rooms entrance is carved with a opening about the size and shape of a door.

Alterations

The Jharette people use this for their store room and vault, which stores valuable records and treasures. There is a 3 ft tunnel that runs next to all the rooms next with only 10 inch opening into the rooms. This 3 ft tunnel exits onto a large furnace that the Jharette use to heat there baths in the nigh. The creates a draft in the tunnel where cold dry air is sucked into the tunnel keeping the humidity low all day long providing the perfect environment to store paper records and documents.
