Thrantium

Origins of Thrantium

Originally a fishing village situated by the estuary of the White Rush due to its advantageous site for fishing and calm waters for boats, the city of Thrantium, or town as it was then, was called Ouvershire. The founding of the town as it was is unknown, as while there is historical evidence of human settlement as early as c.790AVD within the area, the open nature of the location suggests it would have been open to attack from the dragon overlords of the time. Some have argued that the cave system of Arbron, as well as forested areas to the North and West, would have provided shelter from attack during this period. What is agreed upon by scholars, is the fact that in 12VD, Thrantos discovered a small fishing village and established a Mage's school there.   The city grew around the Mage's guild itself, shops and inns sprouting up around the guild structure itself. The original structure of the Mage's guild was the building that is now the Guildlibrary, with the Mage's Tower following 6 years after in 18VD. At this time, there was a great influx of migration of elves from the West seeking instruction in magic. As a result, the riverside settlement of Ferrytown was established, as well as there being an impact of elven art, architecture and trade. The success of the guild and its growing popularity, as well as the draw of the guild upon the powerful and wealthy, resulted in the city of Thrantium growing exponentially. This growth was only further exacerbated by Faerun IV's final act of instilling the guild with political control over all magical commodities and overseeing within the Kingdom of Viseria.   The diverse nature of the students of the school resulted in a demand for foreign goods, whilst the magical requirements of the guild (the need for glassware, parchment, herbal ingredients, metals, chemicals etc.) meant there was need for a large amount of trade in Thrantium. Thankfully, the location of the city was ideal for these needs. There is evidence of the Thrantium Docks being expanded as early as 28VD, coinciding with the first wave of dragonborn students, who complained of the difficulties of arriving by ship. This cemented Thrantium's importance within the kingdom, as a pivotal crossroads in the international trade routes of Everon. Thrantium continued in this manner for many years, thriving after the destructive passing of Thrantos under the guidance of the Guildmasters.   As with most of Viseria, Thrantium saw the benefits of rapid growth after the end of the dragon wars, experiencing the Faerunian golden age. However, also as with most of Viseria, Thrantium was damaged by the Viserian Civil War of 253VD. Having no reasonable defences in place, Thrantium was at the mercy of armed forces throughout the 10 year struggle. Coming out of the other side of the civil war, Thrantium's large walls were erected, as well as various defences. The first Count of Thrantium was selected, as per the Viserian sectura of 263VD, and Thrantium (as well as its surrounding areas) began to recover. Around this time, the guard bastion was also constructed, as well as the Entry Chamber and defences of the Mage's guild of Viseria itself.   In 311VD, the original keep of the city was expanded into the beginnings of the modern day palace of Thrantium. One of the first things to be constructed as part of this design was the Thrantium council chamber, moved out of the Bastion (possibly to represent a wrangling of political power from the Guildmasters at the time). By roughly 360VD, Thrantium reached the boundaries that we recognise today. To this day, Thrantium represents a seat of great political power and a hub of trade for the kingdom of Viseria, whilst also housing the Mage's guild of Viseria.

Administration

The city of Thrantium is the seat of power for Thrantium county. The council of Thrantium both legislates and ejudicates on local law for the city itself and that for the settlements within its jurisdiction that have been escalated higher. The council of Thrantium holds court in the Palace of Thrantium (moved there from the Bastion in 311VD) and traditionally consists of the Count of Thrantium, the court mage, the local Barons, the Guildmasters, the captain of the city guard, the religious leaders of the city of Thrantium and four tribunes elected by the populace. Historically, the council has often had tension with the Mage's guild of Viseria, despite the Guildmasters ironically making up a large part of the council itself. The guild is not beholden to the council for much of Guildlaw, as per Faerun IV's last act, and as a result the Guildmasters often make enflammatory decisions or rebuke the council in matters of magical law and control. The fact that the power of the Mage's guild of Viseria extends across the entire kingdom and thus beyond the extent of the council's power, creates an interesting juxtaposition. While more powerful than the council the Guildmasters are sometimes bound to local law and sometimes exempt. The current members of the council are: The city is largely divided up into four regions: Thrantos' plaza, Palatial quarter, City quarter, Thrantium Dockside. The first three quarters lie within the bounds of the city walls, while the last lies beyond on the banks of the White Rush. The captain of the guard polices all of the regions of the city, though tends to deputise each region traditionally. The quarters are both physically divided but also socio-economically divided. Thrantos' plaza hosts the majority of the city's commercial sector and public buildings, being near to the Mage's guild of Viseria, the Guard Bastion and the city's main temple, the Temple of Azuth. The Palatial quarter is home to the Palace of Thrantium but also hosts the higher echelon of society in much grander estates and properties. The City quarter hosts a wider range of peoples, lying to the south of the Plaza and Palace, with streets of residents. Most people in the City quarter are tradesmen, merchants, servants, business owners and fairly well off. Thrantium Dockside houses the poorer of the city's inhabitants and is characterised as rougher and readier. The Docks are where the crime rate is highest from The Four Fingers and where the dragonborn refugees are housed, as well as being home to the bustling docks and trade hub of the city.

Economy

The economy of Thrantium comes from its vibrant scene of trade, as well as the powerful economic pull of the Mage's guild of Viseria. A central link of both kingdom-wide and international trade routes, the city thrives and has been one of the wealthiest cities in Viseria for hundreds of years. As well as trade, the city boasts an extensive selection of retailers and hospitality, with a myriad of inns and a plethora of shops.

In Our Story

In our tale, Jackob Aar, Knor Ti Knockarz, Larry Tinkle, Terry Tinkle and Vyth Aar came to Thrantium following the lotus compass to track down the fey and with the aim of making the Mage's guild of Viseria and ruling classes of Thrantium aware of the threat of Driscoll and the fey. Having been delayed slightly in Ferrytown due to the city of Thrantium being in a temporary lockdown, the bonk squad managed to barter and wangle their way across, while also assisting a selection of people attempting to enter the city. Upon disembarking from Luther the ferryman's boat, they bore witness to the first unexpected issue that they would encounter, the plight of the dragonborn refugees.   Jax, a young dragonborn refugee was being harassed by a local dock worker, but the group intervened and prevented any harm from befalling the young boy. They discovered that many dragonborn refugees that had fled Draconia due to the war raging across the land, and had sought asylum in Viseria. However, Thrantium appeared to be not the most welcoming of hosts, with there being little work or tolerance for refugees, who were perceived as scroungers taking up space. Jax led the group to the shantytown where the refugees were based and to the leader of the refugees; Yanis Grum a paladin of Bahammut, who had lost her arm fighting for escape from Draconia. The group pledged to aid the dragonborn in whatever way they could, Vyth and Jackob both giving money to help buy clothes and food for the refugees. Yanis informed them that the dragonborn needed work and to be accepted more by the townspeople.   Heading towards the centre of town, the bonk squad entered Thrantos' plaza, Vikrum and Lobelia having gone off ahead to secure room and board. As they entered the plaza, the group bore witness to a loud argument between two groups of dragonborn. One was an embassy from Paleran led by Legate Biri, a diplomat there to request troops and an alliance with Viseria to help Draconia. The other was a conglomerate from Ignasia led by Lord Surian, who was there to argue against Viserian intervention in the war. The two groups were nearly coming to blows when Sir Hama Bash, the captain of the guard, intervened. He threatened the two groups to end their quarrels, otherwise he would throw them out of the city. The bonk squad leaned more towards Legate Biri and met with him later in the Broken shield inn in Thrantium Dockside. There he begged for their aid, citing the plight of Draconia as well as the struggles of the refugees. He explained that Lord Surian was ahead of the game in gaining influence in Thrantium, with a nephew already signed up to admissions for the Mage's guild of Viseria and an in with the council. Legate Biri urged the group to enter the guild admissions, to win sway over the Guildmasters, while also assisting Sir Hama with the multitude of problems he faced while Count Merillion was away at Noverium, the capital of Viseria. So the bonk squad split, Jackob and Terry heading to gain entry to the Mage's guild of Viseria, while Larry , Knor Ti and Vyth sought out Sir Hama, to assist him with his issues and gain his confidence.   While Jackob Aar and Terry both scraped their way through the first admissions test (the former due to his druidic nature and the latter due to his brazen attitude) the remaining members of the bonk squad met with the much put upon captain of the guard, Sir Hama Bash. Sir Hama explained that he was facing a multitude of problems: with the Count away and having taken a large retinue of guards with him Sir Hama was lacking manpower; the guild were being even more unresponsive and unco-operative than usual, deciding to focus on their admissions despite there being reports of lots of strange magical occurrences in the surrounding areas; the dragonborn refugee crisis was causing unrest; the four fingers, a local crime syndicate, were becoming bolder and causing more and more issues. Knor Ti, Vyth and Larry agreed to help Sir Hama, at least with some of his tasks, offering as well that some of the dragonborn could be excellent guards if proved worthy and that they would help with the problems reported from the areas around Thrantium. Their first task was to follow an anonymous tip off that there was a shady deal happening at Thrantium Dockside that night with the Four Fingers. And so, the Mage initiates and the vigilante guards reconvened and headed to the docks to stop the criminal trade off.   Lying in wait in the dark of night, the bonk squad kept an eye out for a furtive trade. Capturing first a figure sneaking round the docks in white robes, the group took him to the harbour compound, where the harbourmaster took him into his custody. Meanwhile, Knor Ti, Larry and Terry took the opportunity to sneak onto one of the ships that stood next to where the deal was happening, discovering that it was in fact a ship from Aldradia, the mysterious land from whence the kidnappers of Knor Ti's mother had come. They discovered a map, revealing the location of Aldradia to be in the Haemus mountains to the north of Viseria. Having joined the others in wait after this, the group soon found themselves witnessing an arms deal of seemingly stolen magical weapons going down between the Four Fingers and none other than some of the Ignasian dragonborn. Leaping into action the bonk squad faced a serious battle, complete with magical ballista from the deck of the Aldradian ship. The leading member of the Four Fingers fled when a group of mysterious white-robed figures leapt to assist the squad. The head of the white-robed assailants was revealed to be Greyanna Xilthin, the head priest from the Dockside temple, who asked that they release her acolyte (the white-robed skulking figure from before) and that they either help her or stay out of her way. Greyanna was particularly interested in the silver medallion Terry was wearing, which Old Mae had given him.   The bonk squad reported back to Sir Hama, who was concerned even further about the Four Fingers. He shared that the fact that they had gotten hold of some magical weapons confirmed his suspicion that they had a contact inside the Mage's guild. Moreover, their new leader, who had risen swiftly through the ranks, seemed to have something big planned. An interrogation of a prisoner taken from the Four Fingers weapons deal revealed that the new leader of the Four Fingers, Big Chungus, did have big plans and had earned a lot of respect by journeying to Siren's Island and returning with a powerful magical item or ability, along with his life.   The following day Larry , Vyth and Knor Ti headed to help Sir Hama out with a second task, ensuring that the Mines of Arbron were back up and running after some issue of flooding and infestation, while Terry and Jackob headed to complete their second entry test. Terry and Jackob managed to make their way past a selection of magical puzzles and obstacles to complete the second test of their admissions. They were accompanied for this task by Ellyjoybell, a gnome determined on making it into the Mage's guild of Viseria, seemingly at whatever cost. The rest of the bonk squad headed to the mines, along with a selection of dragonborn recruits to prove themselves as candidates to join the Thrantium guards. They cleared out the network of tunnels, discovering the issue had been caused by a Nereid named Hypsile after an unwarranted advance by the mine foreman. Promising to find her a new home, the group returned to the city, aware of the growing prevalence of fey in Thrantium and the threat many of them inadvertently posed.   The bonk squad, working on a report of flying creatures in Specfall that was given to Sir Hama, headed to deal with this next problem. Discovering the town dominated by troublesome pixies, angered by the accidental death of one of their own, they set about tricking them into leaving and saving the townsfolk. Not for the first time, they heard the name Siara linked with the seemingly randomly opening portals as well as the lotus compass and purple feystone, which Driscoll had used to return to the feywild.   Reaping the benefits of their hard work, the group gained some gifts and talents. Both Jackob and Terry received magical instruction for their progress through the guild's rigorous admissions in potion-making and invisibility spells, while Sir Hama Bash took on the dragonborn hopefuls and rewarded Vyth and Knor Ti with magic weapons for their help and performance in a friendly duel contest. Having secured work for the dragonborn both in the guard and at the mine, while also having curried favour with Sir Hama and progressing well through the admissions process of the Mage's guild, things were looking good for our heroes.   Riding high on their successes, the group decided to head to Siren's Island, a place from which no-one ever returned until Big Chungus. Chartering a ride on the Sweet Lady with Barmy Arthur, the group headed to the island. After making it through a storm they discovered that the real Big Chungus had been tricked and killed on the island, being replaced by a mysterious mage identified by the initial J. Moreover, after killing the imprisoned dragon Marenthrix who was in the cave on the island, they found that something had been taken by the mage who had tricked Big Chungus. Previously housed and guarded on the island was the siege-stone, a devastatingly powerful artifact of Thrantos, the mythical founder of the Mage's guild of Viseria. All that was left in its place was a lotus, the symbol of Siara and a definitive link to the fey. The fey seemed to be running the Four Fingers and to have infiltrated the guild. On their return to the city, they were tricked into an ambush by the blackmailed Jax, the dragonborn boy whom they'd helped on their arrival. The Four Fingers, led by the same figure from the arms deal, threatened them if they didn't keep their noses out of the syndicate's business. In a turn of events, the bonk squad sprung the trap and overpowered their would-be ambushers. The leader was revealed to be Lucilla, a young lady whom they had actually helped gain entry into the city from Ferrytown. Moreover, they interrogated one of the Four Fingers with a zone of truth, discovering the location of the Four Finger's hideout and the coded next step of their plan: something to do with the Count's upcoming ball "To kill a snake you cut off the head and stomp the body".   After re-housing Hypsile on Siren's Island and informing Sir Hama of recent events (though not the full influence of the fey), the group headed to the third stage of the Mage's guild admissions, the duel. Terry was to face Ellyjoybell. Jackob was to face Hethress, Lord Surian's nephew. Despite a nail-biting match, both members of the bonk squad lost their duels by inches and as a result were unable to join the Mage's guild of Viseria, at least for this year. Losing a certain amount of sway from power in the Mage's guild, the group had been fortunate in earning invitations to the ball that was being hosted for Count Merillion's return. As Legate Biri's plus ones, it was the perfect opportunity to further their causes, both on the welfare of the dragonborn refugees and on the threat of the fey.   Prior to the ball the group investigated the Four Finger's hideout, which was abandoned, as they had gotten wind of their location being leaked. Despite being empty, Jackob was able to communicate with a growth of vines that had been grown in the vault. These vines revealed that a figure, disguised as Big Chungus had placed the siege-stone in this vault, growing the vines through some magic and then later removed it when he heard of the group's coming. Following this, the group received a makeover and lesson in decorum from Legate Biri, so as best to make a good impression at the ball and win the favour of the court for dragonborn and Paleran interests, as well as their own regarding the fey.   Planning to meet Legate Biri, as well as their staunch travel companions Vikrum and Lobelia Ilyan outside the palace before the ball, the group headed off to talk to various peoples and to do various errands, including seeking the help of Greyanna Xilthin and Sir Hama in preparing for a possible assassination attempt by the Four Fingers at the ball.   However, despite waiting to meet the others outside the ball, they never showed. Entering anyway, made up and with Jackob sneaking the weapons in using his beast shaping skills, the group made a splash at the party. Terry and Jackob met with Master Kriv Argenthrixus, who revealed that the Mage's guild knew what was occurring with the fey and were biding their time. The guild had indeed been infiltrated by fey and were at great risk. With the promise of more discussion tomorrow they left Kriv to his solitude. Vyth and the twins also discovered a servant knocked uncoscious in the dining hall when he challenged a figure, who seemed to have been carving a symbol for an escape route in thieves' cant on the window ledge. Jackob Aar also followed a suspicious Lord Surian and overheard him arguing with a shady figure. He seemed to be arguing with the figure about several deals and agreements. The figure implied that they had "gotten rid of" Legate Biri for him and had helped Lord Surian's nephew, Hethress, in the guild trials, whilst also obtaining magic weapons for him through their contact in the guild. Lord Surian reminded them that he didn't want anyone hurt and that he had evidence to put them away. At this point, Knor Ti, worried about Vikrum, Lobelia and Biri's absence, headed over to the Unicorn inn only to discover a threatening note to "leave town or else" containing a human finger, pig tail, dragonborn scale and piece of dire wold pup tail. Then the assassination was sprung. With Knor Ti Knockarz racing back to assist the rest of the bonk squad, riding in just in time, the group were able to defeat the assassins, despite their distraction of setting the Palace chapel on fire. However, in the fight Sir Hama was slain but quick thinking allowed Greyanna Xilthin, head of the Dockside temple to resurrect him with the groups' help.   Despite the dramatic nature of the ball, the bonk squad's night was far from over. Larry and Terry snuck into the quarters of Jorie Letheniel, the court mage and possibly the mysterious J that had infiltrated the guild and murdered Big Chungus, replacing him with someone elese. However, they discovered nothing dubious and Vyth's interrogation revealed the place where their friends Vikrum, Lobelia and Biri were being held; beneath an abandoned warehouse. Rushing over, the group infiltrated the Four Finger's fallback hideout, finding the hostages with little issue. They thought they were safe but trapped and hurting, the group were cornered by a large group of Four Fingers members and the Big Chungus impostor himself. It was revealed that the figure disguised as Big Chungus was none other than Fallas, the satyr servant of Driscoll, who had already kidnapped Lobelia and almost killed her once before in Vincerus' Castle. Promising that within two days his master would come and they would all be dead anyway, Fallas left them to the clutches of the Four Fingers, all of them charmed by fey magic. The group barely escaped with their lives but now knew that the fey had control of the Four Fingers, had the siege-stone and would set their plan in motion within two days.   During the night, Terry Tinkle had a dream about two young twins named Aurelia and Airgelion, which caused him to wake up in a cold sweat, the ring that Driscoll gave him burning on his hand. As a result, Terry decided to spend the day with his brother Larry "shopping" for gifts for the other members of the bonk squad. Meanwhile, Jackob, Knor Ti and Vyth tended to the wounded Vikrum and Legate Biri, before meeting Sir Hama Bash to get guards put on their recently kidnapped friends and come clean about everything: the fey, Driscoll, Fallas and the four fingers, the siege-stone, the impending threat etc.   With a meeting of the Thrantium council coming up that night, the latter half of the group went to meet Master Kriv in the dragonborn shantytown as he had requested. Master Kriv revealed that the Mage's guild of Viseria had indeed been infiltrated by a fey, that had turned the old master of security, Vivienne, mad and none of the Guildmasters were sure who it was. The guild decided to bide their time, prepare and attempt to find out who the fey impostor was. The bonk squad shared their own knowledge with him and then the group headed to see Hypsile to catch up, try to learn to walk on water and maybe heal Master Vivienne's fey-caused madness, though the last two abjectly failed.   Reconvening at the Unicorn Inn, the bonk squad relaxed, exchanged gifts, information and haircuts. Then, Ellyjoybell Lightfoot came asking for assistance. The final task of the guild admissions was to find and bring back a magical artefact to the Mage's guild. Ellyjoybell was desperate to bring her artefact first in order to obtain the scholar primaria title, but Hethress had boasted that he already had an artefact to give, which the group suspected his uncle, Lord Surian, had bought for him. As a result, Ellyjoybell asked for the squad's help in going to Thrantos' palace, which they agreed to.   Heading to the council meeting, the squad attempted to get a read, through Vyth's divine sense of who the J fey impostor might be, but when that failed they instead persuaded the council to evacuate the city ahead of the oncoming fey attack. Afterwards, wanting to prepare themselves for the fey plan, the bonk squad split up. Terry, Larry and Ellyjoybell went to research the siege-stone in the Guildlibrary. Knor Ti went to bring Hypsile to the city to fight as an ally when the attack came. Jackob and Vyth followed the Lotus compass, to find, what they presumed to be a portal, that it was sensing. All carried out their tasks well, until the dragonborn brothers, having followed the compass into a set of catacombs beneath the Guildlibrary, set off a trap. Terry ran in with Ellyjoybell to help, setting off a poison gas trap. Stuck inside, with Knor Ti and Larry running to help, things seemed dire for the bonk squad.   The bonk squad managed to escape the catacombs and headed to settle Hypsile into the Four Fingers hideout, where they disovered clues that Verion was the disguised mage impostor. Howver, Master Kriv had been alerted to their transgressions and met up with them, furious. He led them back into the catacombs and they followed the compass to discover a small purple feystone, or Stone of Siara, on one of the main pedestals. Kriv decided to take the stone into his possession for safekeeping, the squad believing it to be Fallas' goal. Vyth insisted that his steed stay with Master Kriv for further protection.   The next day the bonk squad went to Thrantos' palace with Ellyjoybell Lightfoot to help her complete the final task for the Mage's guild. The group fought past several tests until they encountered the still living consciousness of Thrantos himself. Thrantos offered one of his creations to the group and after some debate the group chose knowledge, thus recieving the amulet of Thrantos.   This amulet allowed the wearer to read he thoughts of those around them and to scry, which Terry inadvertently did, allowing him to see Verion and Fallas ambushing Kriv and Master Griz in the catacombs as they were dealing with Hethress' admission for the final test. It turned out that the magical artifact, which Hethress had acquired, was the siege-stone, that triggered then and there. Turning round with horror, the bonk squad saw the entirety of Thrantium set ablaze by a wave of blue, untampered, arcane energy.   Wasting no time, our heroes galloped back to the city limits and headed for the Mage's guild of Viseria, the epicentre of the explosion, and to fetch Hypsile, their powerful secret ally. Having met up with Sir Hama, several guards (including Jeffrey) and Jakaris and Zextra, the group engaged a set of charmed Four Fingers that had seized Thrantos' Plaza. Jakaris and Jeffrey fell in the fighting. Sending the others to help elsewhere, the bonk squad entered the catacombs.   Once inside the catacombs, our heroes found Verion and Fallas, out of their disguises, using the Siaran stone to open a huge portal. Driscoll sat on the other side, visible, a silver tyrant surrounded by a monstrous army. Engaging the fey in a fierce battle, the saviours of Thrantium slew the corrupted Satyr brothers and, in a moment of clear sighted memory, Knor Ti threw the stone into the portal, as Jackob had done back in Windyvale. Driscoll smiled...   The bonk squad gathered themselves, as well as some magical loot (including a staff imbued with the spirit of an ancient weirwood from the feywild named Treebrother, which Jackob Aar took). They then headed out into the city, helping put out the fires and assisting the distraught citizens before being called to the palace by Count Merillion. They discovered a battle had been fought there, won by the Count with the help of Greyanna Xilthin and her acolytes.    The squad related what had happened to the higher ups of the city, who set about cleaning up the mess that the fey attack had caused. This was not before, however, Master Kriv demanded to be brought to the bodies of Verion and Fallas in order to reanimate them and interrogate them. The squad learned from the necromantic interrogation that Driscoll was seeking the stones of Siara. Kriv asked for time, as he had questions, questions that need answering.    The next day, Jax came to the squad, letting them know that Jakaris' funeral was being held that morning. The squad headed to Dockside somberly, only to be greeted by the remaining dragonborn recruits, who swore fealty to Vyth as the newly formed Knights of Jakaris. A solemn ceremony marked the passing of Jakaris. Plumes of grieving flame, lightning, poison, ice and acid were launched into the air, as is the tradition of the dragonborn. The flames of Jakaris' funerary pyre flickered with the memories of what had been lost, but also burned with the hope of a return home.   Later on, Count Merillion visited the squad in the Unicorn Inn, where he rewarded them by making them his wardsand providing each of them with his personal seal. Upon hearing that the group were heading to Aldradia, he agreed to send word ahead, so that they might more easily enter the mysterious kingdom. Lastly, the warehouse that had been the Four Fingers' hideout was passed to the squad, which Larry Tinkle enthusiastically established as his very own fence tavern, the Bonk and Key, agreeing to provide rooms and jobs for the dragonborn refugees at the same time.    Two days after the attack, the bonk squad went to meet Master Kriv Argenthrixus at the Mage's guild. Once there, they found Ellyjoybell and Inidil had also been summoned. With all having convened, Kriv related what he had gathered from interrogating the deceased satyr servants of Driscoll, questioning Hypsile, reading the Feyrillion and sifting through Master Vincerus' complicated notes on the stones. He told them how he had put together how Driscoll had been exiled from the feywild by Siara, after the death of her daughter Aurelia, using her woe and her heart to focus a spell of inconceivable power; shutting the feywild off from the material plane and imprisoning Driscoll in amirror. However, the spell proved too much and Siara's heart shattered into a hundred arcane chrystallised stones, the Stones of Siara. These stones allowed the wielder to pass between the locked off feywild and material plain, which Driscoll now sought, presumably to break apart Siara's lock entriely and wreak havoc on the material plane. From Vincerus' notes and Fallas' reanimated confession, Master Kriv had deduced that the remianing pieces of Siara's heart on the material plane were in Sylvathair, Haemusgards and Aldradia. All that remained was to decide who would go where.   The bonk squad thought it best for them to head north, visiting Aldradia to fetch the stone whilst searching for Knor Ti's mum and heading to Haemusgards on the way back. Meanwhile, Inidil's connections in Sylvanthair would come in handy, as long as Elly was there to help (who took the amulet of Thrantos with her, much to Terry's chagrin).    The next step against the fey threat decided, the group wiled away their last days in Thrantium with hearfelt farewells (including for Vikrum, Lobelia, Tittle and Legate Biri) and a birthday party for Vyth. The city was safe, the path was set, the fey had returned.
