Specfall
Origins of Specfall
Specfall is located on the eastern bank of the White Rush, North West of Thrantium. The newest of the towns surrounding Thrantium, Specfall was established after the breakdown of the positive Viserian-Draconian relations in the 5th century VD (416VD), as an alternative source of glassware for the Mage's guild of Viseria. Set up for the sole purpose of supplying the guild with the necessary glassware for potion brewing, Specfall is surprisingly small in relation to its importance for the Mage's guild of Viseria and the whole of Viseria. The success of the town lies in both the ample supply of sand from the beaches of the White Rush, along with the continuous stream of limestone from up river and from the techniques and advice supplied by the dragonborn students of the Mage's guild of Viseria. Newer factories have been added over the years, the most recent being constructed in 656VD.Buildings of Note
The town hall sits at the heart of Specfall, the plaza of the village having been made to reflect Thrantos' plaza in Thrantium. The steeple of the town hall is designed to artistically resemble the chimneys of the glass factories which dominate the town's skyline. Specfall house is the large stately home retained by the holding of Specfall. Unusual with its three floors and impressive with its large gardens, the house stands as a reminder of Specfall's importance to the kingdom. Qubist wares is a glass shop, renowned across all of Everon for its artistic and practical glass products, which rival even those of Draconia.Current Holding
Baron Marcus FalmireIn Our Story
In our tale, Jackob Aar, Knor Ti Knockarz, Larry Tinkle, Terry Tinkle and Vyth Aar headed to Specfall on the orders of Sir Hama, captain of the guards of Thrantium. Sir Hama asked that the group investigate the lack of communication from the town after the original reports that small winged creatures were terrorising the inhabitants. Accompanied by the dragonborns Jakaris, Zextra, Leona and Nile, whom both the party and the paladin of Bahammut Yanis Grum hoped would become guards of Thrantium, the group entered the town. They discovered that the whole settlement had been overgrown with wild trees and that the inhabitants had been seemingly put to sleep by some fey spell. The cause became clear once their weapons were almost stolen by mischievous invisible pixies. The group made their way to the centre of town, where they discovered a pixie-made mountain of glass and junk. Rather than fighting the childlike and magically adept pixies, who had been incited to this when one of their own was accidentally sat upon by a local, they decided to reason with them. Vyth, along with the help of Terry , convinced them to play a game of hide and seek, where they would have to try and find another door of Siara, or Siara's lock as they called it, before the group could. Heading off northwards, the pixies left, releasing Baron Falmire from his spell, whom the party brought back to Thrantium and to Sir Hama Bash.Remove these ads. Join the Worldbuilders Guild
