Hethress

Background and Role in Our Story

Hethress of clan Bylghast from Ignasia always had a talent for magic. Discovering his powers as a sorcerer, Hethress was trained in the magical arts in Ignasia but proved temperamental in his attitudes at times. An outside group took an interest in Hethress and helped him develop his skills but when his uncle Lord Surian asked if he'd be willing to head to Thrantium and join the Mage's guild of Viseria Hethress jumped at the chance, even if the end goal was convincing the Guildmasters to support Ignasian diplomacy.
In our tale, Hethress met the bonk squad members at the first test, but was not particularly gracious. He managed to progress through the admissions, though as later discovered this might have been down to Lord Surian's assistance, cheating the tasks. However, in the third test Hethress was to face Jackob Aar in a mage's duel, which he just managed to win. As a result, he now heads to the final stage of the guild admissions and has boasted to Ellyjoybell that he already has an artifact to provide, which presumably Lord Surian gave to him.
The artifact turned out to be the siege-stone of Thrantos, which was triggered by Verion and Fallas in the catacombs of the Mage's guild of Viseria, as had been there plan all along. This unleashed a blast of untempered arcane power, which allowed the Satyrs to begin opening a portal to Driscoll with the stone of Siara. Hethress was killed in the initial blast.

Appearance

Hethress is a bronze dragonborn with a thin snout, ending in prominent nostrils. He is most often dressed in expensive robes.

Personality

Likes and Dislikes

Hethress likes stretching his magical powers and gaining success, though he's not so bothered as to how he gains that success.
Hethress dislikes losing and being disrespected by those he sees as below him, the bonk squad for example.

Personality quirks

Hethress is actually highly intelligent but quite often struggles to express himself when under pressure. He is guarded and can lash out when challenged, which may be due to trauma from the death of his father.
