Lobelia Ilyan

Background and Role in Our Story

Lobelia was born on a crisp Winterstide night to Vikrum Ilyan and Saryll Ilyan in Noverium, the capital city of Viseria. With a wealthy merchant father, Lobelia wanted for nothing in her childhood and her parents doted on her but despite this she never became spoilt (though of course there was the odd temper tantrum here and there). Lobelia is a precocious child and very intelligent for her age, with a love of life, animals and adventures.   Tragically, in early 683VD, Lobelia's mother passed away, taken by disease. She and her father journeyed to Illuven, where she was to be buried, in the home of her ancestors. On the journey back, they stopped for the night in the village of Qarton, a small settlement known for its stud farms. However, during the night Lobelia had a dream of a voice calling out to help her and when she woke up, she was no longer in the inn but found herself in a castle, laden with strange plants. Lobelia was grabbed and imprisoned by two Satyrs, named Verion and Fallas, who kept her locked in the castle.   Then, a few days later, the bonk squad arrived. Saving Lobelia from the Satyrs and with Knor Ti Knockarz catching her before she was impaled on a colossal spike, she was returned to her extremely worried father, without a scratch. Lobelia began to idolise Knor Ti, devoting herself to her new-found hero, while also spending a lot of time playing with Knor Ti's pet direwolf, Tittle. Needing to travel to Thrantium anyway, she and her father Vikrum joined the bonk squad on the road, which Lobelia was delighted about.   Eventually, the group arrived in Thrantium, staying together in the Unicorn Inn. Life went back to reasonable normality, although now Lobelia wanted to be a hammer-wielding adventurer rather than a merchant/singer/princess when she grew up. That was until she, her father and their new acquaitance Legate Biri were kidnapped and taken as hostages to force the bonk squad to leave town. Although their captors were seemingly just members of the local crime syndicate, the Four Fingers, Lobelia recognised the eyes of their leader. Despite appearing human, the leader was Fallas, one of the Satyrs that had imprisoned her in Vincerus' Castle. She informed the bonk squad of this when they came to save her.   Having survived the fey siege-stone attack on Thrantium, thanks to the bonk squad's evacuation, Lobelia and her father left for their home in Noverium. Bidding the group a teary farewell, Lobelia departed her friends and travelling companions, but not before Knor Ti gave her Tittle, to guard her and look after her.

Appearance

Lobelia is a small but pretty girl, with blonde hair and large purple eyes. She has an adorable smile and is fond of wearing her hair in pigtails (although after her kidnapping by the Four Fingers, she now has an undercut on one side). Her dresses these days normally are smudged with the odd paw-print from Tittle and some dirt from pretending to be Knor Ti fighting evil Satyrs.

Personality

Likes and Dislikes

Lobelia adores Knor Ti and her direwolf pup Tittle, as well as the rest of the bonk squad. Lobelia likes pretty dresses, silly jokes and stories about great adventures. Lobelia loves her dad and misses her mum.   Lobelia dislikes and fears Satyrs. She isn't fond of being told to mind her manners or to have an early bed time and she hates the nights where she has bad dreams about her mother's death.

Personality quirks

Gets super-excited whenever she sees Knor Ti and is an odd mix of girly while also wanting to smash things with a warhammer; will she braid Tittle's fur into bows or will she wrestle with her and pretend to fight a horde of ruffians, hard to say. Can get very giggly when there are silly jokes.
