Hypsile

Background and Role in Our Story

Hypsile was born in the feywild, one of many sisters that lived in the deep, exotic waters of the fey-lands. She detested her sisters, seeing them as mean and constantly playing tricks on her (though they would most likely say the same about her), so when she saw the flickering purple of a Siaran door open randomly in front of a forest of kelp, she took the opportunity and went through.
Hypsile found herself on the material plane, in the Mines of Arbron's tunnel network. She made herself comfortable and was discovered by the foreman of the mine, who instantly fell in love for the enchanting fey woman. However, he made unwanted advances and enraged, Hypsile flooded the mines, forcing the Ankhegs that lived inside to flee and attack the miners, who themselves had to leave and shut the mines. She was then left alone until the bonk squad arrived, sent by Sir Hama Bash to try and get the Mines of Arbron back up and running. While Vyth Aar, Larry Tinkle and the dragonborn recruits hung back, Knor Ti Knockarz approached her and befriended her. Overjoyed at having befriended her new "lesbian" friend, Hypsile agreed to leave her current home and allow the Mines of Arbron to open again, if the bonk squad found another suitable watery cave for her to live in.
Eventually, the bonk squad brought her to Siren's Island, where there was a new cave recently freed of an imprisoned Ancient Sea Dragon. Happy in her new home, Hypsile wiled her days away by swimming through the waves of the Draconian ocean, spying on the mortals and collecting oddments. Later on, the bonk squad came back to visit her in order to try and learn to walk on water like her and to see if she could heal the mind of Master Vivienne, who had been turned mad by the fey that had infiltrated the Mage's guild of Viseria. Unable to work out why the bonk squad were so terrible at working on water and not really understanding why the squad thought Master Vivienne's mind was wrong or how to "fix it" she bid them a farewell.
Later, Knor Ti came and asked for her help in fighting the fey that were going to attack Thrantium. Hypsile agreed once Knor Ti gifted her a human finger and decorated box to keep it in. She was intrigued to see a mortal sewer as well... until she saw one. Knor Ti brought her to the Four Fingers old hideout beneath the warehouse in the north of Thrantium Dockside, where she set up a pool to live in for the timebeing.
Hypsile waited the next day, wondering what the screams and large amounts of noise were that came from above her, when Jackob Aar and Knor Ti came running in. Grabbing her, they ran through the city, which had been devastated by the siege-stone attack Verion and Fallas had launched. Putting out fires as she went, the pair carried Hypsile to Thrantos' Plaza, where they met back up with the rest of the bonk squad, Sir Hama with his guards and Jakaris and Zextra. Then followed the battle of Thrantos' Plaza, where the group fought a collection of Four Fingers forces, who were guarding the Mage's guild entrance. Hypsile took to the fountain, drowning and attacking several enemies. However, when asked whether she would come and possibly face Driscoll, Knor Ti saw on her face and Terry sensed with the amulet of Thrantos, her utter fear. Hypsile chose instead to guard the Plaza and gather more mortal fingers for her burgeoning collection.
Upon later interrogation, Hypsile would reveal nothing to Knor Ti about Driscoll except that he was "dark".

Appearance

Hypsile has long, flowing purple and pink hair, which is often dripping with water or floating through the weightless pools that she frequents. Her skin is blue and her beauty is enchanting... literally.

Personality

Likes and Dislikes

Hypsile likes her "lesbian" friend Knor Ti Knockarz and enjoys finding out about mortals. She enjoys being pandered, given gifts and being flattered, as well as getting her own way. Collecting mortal things, such as human fingers.
Hypsile dislikes her sisters, most men and those who don't do as she asks. She isn't fond of boring people.

Personality quirks

Like most fey, Hypsile is hard to read, seemingly turning from childlike excitement into a petulant brat on a whim. However, in reality she can be extremely vain and abides by an internal set of social expectations that are rigid and illogical to non-fey. When happy she can be charming and exceedingly helpful. When upset she can drown tens of people and cause irreparable curses.
