Legate Biri

Background and Role in Our Story

Legate Biri was born in Paleran, the white and gold-spired capital of Draconia in 642VD to an aristocratic family of dragonborn from the Verguth clan. Taking the traditional course of magistracy and bureacracy, Biri rose to the rank of Legate. In 683 VD, on the orders of the Queen of Paleran, Biri travelled to Thrantium in Viseria, seeking an alliance and military assistance in the ongoing wars of Draconia, where the Legions of Bel were beginning to overrun the dragonborn forces. However, upon arrival Biri found a conglomerate from Ignasia, the shining metal sepulchre, trying to convince Viseria of neutrality. The two nearly came to blows in the street when Sir Hama Bash and the bonk squad intervened.
Legate Biri then explained the fraught political tensions between the Palerans and Ignasians, as they disagreed over whether to seek the assistance of humans and how best to end the war. He implored Vyth and Jackob Aar to help him by currying favour with Sir Hama, gaining sway in the Mage's guild of Viseria and council of Thrantium and therefore persuading the Count to pledge himself to the Paleran cause. Working on diplomacy himself in the meantime, the bonk squad gained reputation quickly. Soon Legate Biri got them invitations to the Count's ball, the perfect opportunity for diplomacy and persuasion.
However, Legate Biri was kidnapped by the Four Fingers before he could attend the ball, in order to blackmail the bonk squad into leaving town. The bonk squad saved him from the Four Fingers' clutches, which were being orchestrated by Fallas in disguise. 
After the fey siege-stone attack on Thrantium and with the state of the dragonborn refugees in Thrantium much improved, Legate Biri elected to travel to Noverium with Vikrum and Lobelia. There, he hoped to use Vikrum's connections to further his cause with the Viserian royalty and nobility.

Appearance

Legate Biri is a rather diminutive red dragonborn, who sports a tiny pair of bifocals. After his kidnapping by the Four Fingers, he is missing a few scales from his right shoulder.

Personality

Likes and Dislikes

Legate Biri likes dancing, bureaucracy, manners and high society. He enjoys a lively debate and has made good friends with Vikrum Ilyan. The Legate is utterly devoted to his country.
Legate Biri dislikes Lord Surian, the Ignasians and violence... unless he's pushed to it once he's lost his temper.
