Yenaria Day 1770-2200- Barsamic Cities

While the population of the Tresbort Lakes region continued to expand, scholarly estimates place the population anywhere from one to five million people. Many of the villages remained small tight knit communities, however it was not uncommon for some of the larger villages to reach several hundred or even a few thousand people. Despite the expanding population the Nil Yeni still stuck close to the rivers and lakes that survived as their transportation network. The interior rolling hills, plains, and mountains remained largely uninhabited. The one exception to this was the plains surrounding the upper Strepslim. The Tern Tribes and Bas Tribes had adopted a nomadic life style using the wide open plains to collect wild plants like the Speeberry and hunt the herds of wildDreck. By this time the Nil Yeni had developed a set of spiritual beliefs that scholars call the Old Heavanic Pantheon. The beliefs largely revolved around the worship of natural spirits in various forms. Often times individual would have a village protector spirit and ancestor spirits. But it was not uncommon for villages to worship and acknowledge spirits relating to different natural phenomenon. Many of the legends of the first descendants where viewed through the lens of powerful spirits influencing the descendants.    On day 1770 the first prophet Da harka Darmin was born in the settlement of Yeni. during her life she would organize the disparate beliefs of the Old Heavanic Pantheon. Da Harka never truly fit in with the people of Yeni, and on her 30th Dawnday she decided to go a pilgrimage to the city of Nil to visit the site of the fallen palace of Barsamin. While this was a relatvily common practice for early Nil Yeni to complete. Da harka Darmin decided to go by land a route that few if any Nil Yeni choose. Along the way she stopped at many villages and saw the commonality and differences in their spiritual practices. According to the Barsamic text the Great Nossic When she got to Nil she spoke to Barsamin and was told about the true nature of the world, and how the spirts of the world were divided into a strict hierarchy. She was also commanded to follow the path of the Noshar Migration.   As Da harka Darmin followed the path of the Noshar Migration she explained her vision of reality to the villages she passed through. Her explanations provided a structured framework for many of the villages spiritual beliefs. As the days passed Da harka Darmin reached the edge of the Noshar Migration, but was never able to venture through it. However, but the time she returned to Nil she had gathered a large following of believers. They belivers would spread the word of this new Barsamic faith. After many days in Nil Da harka Darmin established the Barsama Star on the Inner stell islands in the center of the Promethean Crater. This was a sacred temple where only the priestesses of Barsaminism could enter. Finally, after Da harka Darmin death, a Gran Min priestess was elected from the Harka Darmin Himoth priestesses to preside over the faithful.   While no one is sure why Barsaminism spread as quickly as it did. However, several feature of the new barsamic faith encouraged its spread. First Da harka Darmin organized the faith around existing spiritual beliefs. She simply provided a grand framework the was already compatible with many of the prexisting Nil Yeni beliefs. 2nd while her growing following was based in Nil her priestesses were encouraged to go out travel and spread her message. Third the best way to seek protection from a spirit was to seek out its place of power, this encouraged the Nil Yeni to continue their tradition of pilgrimage to the city of Nil. Finally, for the first 900 days, the religion remained strictly politically neutral; not taking a side in the political struggles of the growing settlements and instead remained a uniting force in the region.
