Some of the first people to settle near Hiwash Lake. Little is known of their beliefs and traditions. They were a very nomadic people who were almost entirely hunter gatherers, and pastoral herders. They lived in small comunities that would roam around finding the best pasture land. The People of the Derwash recorded little of their traditions.
