18 A - Temple of Huvoi

Stagburn is built between two hills. One supports the Ward Duke's Estate, the second the far older Temple of Huvoi. It dates to the early days of the human settlement here, although the adjacent curatage (where the clerics live) was built by the previous Ward Duke Vaughn.
The head curate of the temple is Themis Ojave, a Husliq/aasimar who keeps a watchful eye on village. She also oversees the hospital outside the temple gates. In exchange for donations to the temple, Themis or her curates will agree to cast certain healing spells. The temple also sells potions crafted at the hospital.
In a saferoom beneath the main altar is a holy relic. It's the burned remains of the Mace of the Paragon, a small piece of charred wood embedded in a lump of metal. It was said to be recovered from the slopes of Mount Shar-Kazgoth where the Paragon fought the ancient white dragon. Themis brings up the relic and places on the altar during specific festivals.
The Temple runs a (free for village citizens) Hospital across the street. They also own a Guest House used by visiting clergy and dignitaries.
