Harold Jumpwater is a leading member of the Stagburn community. He's a lifelong friend of Mayor Hayward and a former member of the town council. He also used to be the village forester but is retired now and has taken up his hobby of taxidermy.
Harold was instrumental in defeating Fergus the previous forester. When Fergus attempted his coup and tried to oust Mayor Hayward, Harold led the opposition against him. It was Harold, with a group of armed citizens and Town Watch soldiers who drove Fergus out of town.
Mayor Hayward has also called on Harold for public support when the mayor received push-back from the citizenry over the hiring of
Brom Berrin as constable. Harold is a loud voice of support and well-respected throughout the town.
His house is filled with stuffed animals, all trophies he has mounted. There are rumors that he and
Retta the druid used to be lovers but fell out over his hobby. They avoid each other to this day in town.
