36 A - Forest God Brewery

Written by Janto

Above the doorway to this property is the head of a carved stag. It's a representation of the Forest God, an ancient god worshiped in this area by dwarves.   A single dwarven family lives in Little Elftown. Annelle and Grita Laurel operate a brewery out the back of their house, brewing traditional dwarven ale. In their yard is a rectangular pit built inside a crescent stone wall called a fulacht fiadh (pronounced FULL-ahk FEE-add). The brewing takes place inside the pit and hot stones are used to heat the liquid. The dwarves decant the ale into barrels they then store in their basement.   The Laurels sell some casks to the Oak and Dagger Inn. The rest they use to supply their religious prophet called fáith (pronounced FETH) who lives to the north.   Anelle and Grita have two children, teenage Naj and young Vye. Naj is expected to take over the family business someday but secretly dreams about becoming an adventurer.
