23 E-F - Herbalist {Casper Tyne}

Written by Janto

Casper Tyne was born in Stagburn to Pezzllian refugees who settled here. They tragically died when he was 8 after accidentally eating poisoned mushrooms. Casper lived with Retta the druid until he became an adult. She trained him in the art of herbalism, which he mastered hoping never to experience someone dying from misidentified plants again. Casper also spent several years in Skafatum studying in the library there.   For several years after returning to Stagburn, Casper Tyne operated a stall in the Market where he sold tea, healing concoctions, and poultices. Recently, the anti-Pezzlian violence in the town has scared him away from the Market. Casper now no longer leaves his house in the eastern sector of town. Mayor Hayward has arranged Casper's stall to remain (empty) in the Market until Casper feels safe enough to return to it.   Few people interact with Casper any more. Silas the caretaker of the Duke's estate was a friend of his parents and stops by every once in a while to pick up some tea and check on him. For protection, Casper has acquired a massive, gray wolfhound named Onchu who sits on his porch and warns away strangers with threatening barking.

Casper's House (23E)

  As an adult Casper was able to purchase the same two-story house his parents owned. He also bought several nearby houses, tore them down, and built a walled garden where he grows his herbs, flowers, mushrooms, and other plants he uses in his work. The garden is a very pleasant and well-maintained place. It has its own well. Everything Casper owns is neat and tidy, as is he.

Casper's Shed (23F)

  In his garden, Casper has built a brick shed. It has a glass roof and is used as a greenhouse to start seedlings and store his garden tools.
