The diamond tail can extend these appendages to create a large webbed diamond tail that it can use to effortlessly propel itself through the water. Adult Smoo Ack's perpetually swim in an eastward direction remaining perpetually on the Day side of Didome. They only stop their swimming to bred in the Den Mar.

Basic Information

Anatomy

The Smoo Ack looks like a large serpent with a central vertical spine surrounded by organs and mucule. Towards the back the spine splits into three and a scaly webbing connects the three tail spines. This creates an extendable tail that it can use to propel itself in open water, yet it can close the tail when more maneuverability is needed.   The scales of the Smoo Ack are generally a dark blue color, lighter on the bottom darker on the top, with just a hint of iridescence.

Genetics and Reproduction

While Adult Smoo Ack perpetually swim around didome to remain in the afternoon of the planet, they will pause their swimming every few days to breed in the Den Mar. The fertilized females come into the marsh when it is flooded by an Ides Tide and lay their eggs in the mud of the marsh. Then as the tide recedes they swim back out to sea. The eggs hatch a day later and spend the next several days in the tide pools of the marsh growing larger. Once they reach about .3 meters long they leave the marsh and begin there perpetual journey around the Didome.
