Ruins
With many castles destroyed by Forbin during the
War of Salvation, Teros is home to many ruins. The destruction of some goes back much further in time than the recent conflict. Many of these ruins have since become lairs for dangerous creatures, hiding places for outlaws, or eerie destinations for treasure-seekers and adventurers hoping to uncover long-buried secrets.
Perched on the northern shores of Leviathan Bay, the ruins of Balsan-Jann are haunted by whispers of hidden treasures and strange lights seen within its crumbling walls. Though the tower is half-collapsed and overgrown, scavengers and the curious are still drawn to its eerie silhouette.
Nestled deep in the
Redpeaks, Bekkan Dirys was razed during the War of Salvation. Its blackened walls and shattered keep attract treasure-seekers hoping to find relics or artefacts left behind. Yet bandits and the occasional dangerous predator make this a perilous site for exploration.
Natarr's great fortress was heavily damaged in an eatherquake in the
10th century. Later, it was almost completely destroyed during the
War of Salvation: its walls now broken and many of its towers collapsed.
Once a critical defensive stronghold, Fort Arassor’s broken walls and overgrown courtyard now lie silent. The scattered ruins are said to hide a sealed vault, rumoured to contain lost riches and artefacts that the fleeing Terosian forces concealed to keep them from Forbin’s grasp.
These shattered ruins on the cliffs of Leviathan Bay were destroyed by powerful magic during the war, leaving only charred remains. Rumours of rebel activity in the area suggest that the ruins may serve as a hidden meeting place for resistance fighters.
Situated near Lake Daxin, the crumbling ruins of Fort Daxin have been claimed by a band of organised bandits. Led by the enigmatic Shadow of Daxin, these outlaws use the remnants of the fort as a base from which to ambush and harass local settlements and trade routes.

Zarroth still lies hidden within, guarded by the Soth-Larr’s dark magic.

The forlorn Tower of Kess on the northern coast of the Plains of Zarroth is an empty shell of its former glory. Constructed by the enigmatic
Vistrar, its collapsing spire and desolate halls now stand as a monument to a bygone era. The tower’s dangerous, crumbling interior still hints at the mysterious rituals once held within its stone walls.
Exposed to the relentless winds of the
Cape of Dust, Werrin Keep’s ruins are a maze of decaying stone and shifting sands. The treasure-hunter Erisha Fawnskin believes she’s on the verge of uncovering a hidden trove beneath the keep’s foundations, attracting opportunists and scavengers alike to this unstable ruin.
