Palace of the Sands

The Palace of the Sands is a fortified palace just outside the town of Natarr. It is home to the Mistress of Natarr.

Constructed in 1511, the palace is built atop a small, rocky hill two miles south of the town. The hill is protected on three sides by rocky cliffs, 40 feet high. On its northern side, the hill slopes down to the plain. A stout curtain wall guards this side, with no windows facing outwards. The gate, placed about halfway up, is accessed via a ramp and wooden bridge.
Inside, the palace is lavishly adorned, with a central garden. Fresh water is provided by a deep well.
