Horr Fathin
Horr Fathin is a desolate ruin on the western edges of the Plains of Zarroth, its crumbling remains stark against the sky. Built over a thousand years ago by Zarroth as a defence against Forbin's forces, the tower was destroyed during the subsequent wars and has since been left to decay. Jagged stones and broken walls are all that remain, slowly being reclaimed by nature as ivy and hardy grasses creep through the cracks.
Despite its desolation, Horr Fathin is not abandoned. It is now the lair of a malevolent entity known as the Soth-Larr, a creature of darkness and shifting shadows. Its presence brings a deep chill to the air, and those who wander too close to the ruins find themselves disoriented, lost in a maze of illusions. The Soth-Larr is rarely seen during the day, but at night, the air hums with its power, and the winds seem to whisper warnings. Though not overtly aggressive, it fiercely guards the ruins, twisting paths and landmarks to trap intruders within its domain.
Many believe that a relic of Zarroth lies hidden in the ruins, but few have dared to test this rumour. The Soth-Larr is said to feed on fear and confusion, distorting reality itself to ensnare its victims. While Horr Fathin remains a place of eerie beauty, it is a perilous site where even the boldest adventurers tread carefully, lest they find themselves lost forever in the grasp of this shadowy presence.
