Tidal Marsh

Since the tides can rise 30-50 ft over the course of 6 hours the low lying coastal plains have a vast marshy area that is covered by the tides twice a day. This is a tangled mass of various aquatic grasses and vegetation that get suberged every few hours. It is a extremely biologically productive area yet one that not permenat human be present in. Depending on the profile of the surrounding geography, the tidal zone of the marsh can be a couple hundred feet to over 60 mile long.
