The Grey Coasts
This is a temperate environment, fertile coasts, warm sea waters, verdant horizons; yet this is also perfect for the breeding grounds of many creatures, monstrosities, and beyond in the lands of Barur/Earth .
There are Three Kingdoms that vie over the rights to these waters. To the northeast, you have the Faces of the King, a sprawling coastal city that oversees the ancient fey wall protecting the lands from some ancient, unknown threat. To the south, the Orcs reign by sea and land, most of these lands being ancestral to their people. And, lastly to the west, the Kingdom of the Great Grey Sea: an alliance between seafolk, merfolk, and storm giants, this kingdom controls the most bounty of the Grey Coasts.
Yet, these coasts are more so run by the seas, and those who know them best, those sailors, pirates, smugglers, and fiends. The Kingdom of the Great Grey Sea pay them little mind, unless precious items are stolen from below the depths, and the seafolk's idea of precious is not the same as that of our land-loving friends. The other two kingdoms, the Orcs and the Faces of the King, well, they desperately claim each pirate against the other, while secretly really doing what they claim: pirating against each other.
However, the games have changed of late, and the tension between the waters now reaches near boiling. That effervescence, albeit only small and a timid bubble, will soon take the whole Grey Sea hold without one of the three kingdoms to intervene.
Plus, well, Claddenroe has all but turned over, the lava retching over like a sea wave. The demonic presence looms, sending there own dark boats out to lay claim to slaves, treasures, the sea itself.
