Session 73: Unshackled Horizon, Iron Sunset, Liberty's Fist: Scallywags

General Summary

During this day, Aikhon and Brimstone are able to use the voyager staff to teleport to the Razor, to Torth and Thej whom are working so diligently to get the kin and ilk, the dragonborn refugees escaping from Allura and the Faces of the King's grasp. They come for the sickness taking hold which has killed eight refugees already, and the refugees and crew of the Razor are desperately in need a a raise in morale. The songs and tales from this arcane and divine occurance will travel for ages to come, the Healer of Burdens, the Great burden to the west, away from the tyranny of kings. The dragon brothers then spend the rest of their day and evening, awaiting for the voyager staff to recharge again, and they share the stories of their great adventures since departing from the Razor from before their sailing and conquering of the The Silver Bloom, the Silver Joy and Island . He also sends a magical message to Feanger, and they agree that using the expectation of Uhmar's evil against himself is beneficial. Uhmar is lost.
Later in the evening, about six, Roland jumps his way over to the Pursuer to check in with Valentha and her crew and gains; this is after he had already met with Vumpesh, but the dragonborn lady, the Captain, seems at ease, and she knows the next steps may be regretful, but she is excited because of how unexpected it is. She share some drinks, and they play some cards. She even offers him another job aboard her ship, as a first mate, should he find the her brothers too troublesome. She also informs him of her ship's new name, and new calling, the Unshackled Horizon.
Reggie still wishes to speak with Captain Brimstone.
Ilknar spends some quiet time before the night wanes.

The next morning, Mila is found in the later part of the morning before lunch by Deoy, who wishes to gain a bath as a present for his recent birthday. Lady Sasha announces a contest for the following day, and the rest of the day is dealing with the heavy gale around them, a storm worthy of rain and lots of it, but little else. Nevertheless this does not impeded the gambling that begins around even the idea of what Lady Sasha's contest might be. Nethpione sings throughout the day, songs of the Skye, of the Giants, and of the Great Storms.
Aikhon has plans to have Mila and Roland join him for talk with Will Sterrum, captain of the Redwing flier. However, he is contacted on the way by Noodles, saying the flumph has an answer to the egg problem, at least in part, and Aikhon rushes down there to join. He learns that noodles could create a crucible of sorts to harness and incubate the egg with energy from the fire elementals not in use. There are worries of the implications of this and indeed of fire is the right element to even apply to this nascent, somewhat blank egg. Nevertheless, Aikhon helps Noodles get started with the construction and then the dragonborn leaves.
Aikhon was stopped on the way down by Horizon, the medusa they rescued from scion captivity, for she wanted to talk with the accountant of the Crimson Fleet. Thus, the copper dragonkin returns to speak with his adopted compatriot to the Horizon's Call's Crew. She is worried of her connections to this endeavor, for she is the last of her kind, and these are dangers actions. Nevertheless, she knows of an ancient legend, a land of forests that surround a pyramid, far to the north; she thinks about going there, and she wonders if she should. It is not until she is overwhelmed and nearly walks away does Aikhon see her truth: she truly wanted to be asked and invited to participate in these next adventures against human progeny and kings. She thinks humans are odd, and she wonders the gods true intent, and she sees the diversity and purpose of this Crimson Fleet.
Roland and Aikhon, with Mila, go to the Redwing to meet with Will, and they find him tied down against the storm, but Will and his human crew enjoy time together. Roland and Mila offer an even more comforting atmosphere it seems, and this allows for them to discuss how the crew of the Redwing's family surely have nothing to worry about, and that they can be an asset to the Crimson Fleet, if they so wish.

The next day is a quiet day after the previous filled with so much rain and stormy weather. OTher than Lady Sasha's contest: a tug of war contest, her against the crew, and those who win get 100 gold. Dosgratin, Deoy, Argos, Kolos, Dardanos, Helene, with 76, a representative dwarf from Reggie, and even Vareth, try all agains lady Sasha, but they are unable to move the powerful yuanti. Mila goes next, however, and she alone pulls Lady Sasha for the win. She does not want the reward, so the other contestants each get a portion, as decided by Dosgratin. He was only able to decide after Vareth first grabbed the pouch of coin, and then handed it off to the dwarf warrior. Here, the warships that have been added to the Crimson Fleet are named anew: The Iron Sunset and Liberty's Fist.
Mila invites Deoy this day to the mansion to bathe.
Lady Sasha summons 19 cats to help distract the crew.
Aikhon goes to Uhmar with Mila, and the find his mind has been slowly breaking from his wounds and time spent in the brig. He willing answers questions about his research, that of collecting an understanding of how dragon blood can be applied to extend life and grant fertility. He has taken more than 3000 lives to be added to the King's Death Research over the last four to six years. They allow him to see his wife, and they know, if given time, she could find a means and a plan to get an escape, so Mila and Aikhon, with 76 and Kolos assisting, only let the crazed lady and wife of Uhmar the former Death Researcher of the Faces of the king a few moments of time together.
Aikhon leaves, and states and he closes the door behind him: You grant others death, but can you escape your own, Uhmar?
