Session 20: Scallywags, Travelling South; A Crew Togetherness; Z, The Stowaway

General Summary

It is the 17th of Light, the twelfth month of eighteen of the year 698, and the crew has been in full sail for almost 24 hours, traveling south west away from the Chronoloc Isles, aiming for Expedition One, eventually, to the south east.
However, firstly, the group awakes in the perspective rooms, then attend to some daily business. Aikhon begins discussing and learning of the new dragon born, those being smuggled away from the Faces of the King , who search for draconic power out of fear for the newfound undead ever-present in the world around us. Aikhon specifically talks to Mugrunden, a former solider of an empire far to the east across two seas, who was sold into slavery to pay debts for a kingdom he was raised to admire and protect, as a Dragon Guard.

Secondly, Skiff meets with his Powder Crew, and he begins a daily, regimental training to help them gain the Gunner Feat, or a like skill where appropriate, as they work on drills to heighten their awareness and speed with the Call's cannons. He worries for the crew and any interactions, encounters that they may have with the King's Navy, and the Long Lances.
Deoy spends this day looking for something.
As the Powder Crew practices, Roland goes downstairs to discuss with Rognur. He asks about the hobgoblin's focus and vengeance against demonkin, yet Rognur is not ready for such a game of 20 questions, and he is curt with how he arrived at the crew, saying as he was looking for someone, the crew found him. Nonetheless, this is not satisfactory for our human undercity thug, a mob boss by blood and rite, so Rognur is forced to answer more explicitly. He searches for his wife, to no avail. This line of questioning, prompts Rognur to respond with a similar question, and Roland describes how he was forced to leave his family and position to save his own life, and he seeks a new life, presumably, away from the pressures of his family and their betrayal. Lastly, this odd pair discuss Roland's name of Odds as his preferred name, and where the flask has been hidden to; Rognur quells the human's curiosity for now, stating that no one will find the flask.
Rognur spends the rest of his morning reestablishing the continuity of his new hydrothermic steam bomb.
Brimstone spends his morning aboard deck, near the front of the call, enjoying his sandwich and the freedom of the wind.

Skiff and Aikhon also meet during this time to discuss the plans of Skiff's forgery's and plans to use these to help avoid the King's view, and they also have Captain Hook's write of Privateering, so the kobold now as a decent, official resource to establish his gains. The focus of this conversation again discusses a worry of the King's Long Lances.
Brimstone spends time with Torth below deck, who seeks for fame, the captain learns. He also talks with Teyos of her need to find the home of her sea elf people in the Plane of Water. Additionally, he seeks to learn more of the crew, and he asks of Pojin and his need for fame and a dead kraken to adorn his hearth, and he talks with Nethpione of her focus on the future and not the past as other crew seem to be, even if she does not remember her own past.

The Crew then meets, mostly officers, but with Noodles and Roland to join, and even Thej comes on deck of the Call, leaving Neroon to oversee the Razor that follows so closely now. They discuss a Code of Conduct for the crew: 1) Eye for an Eye, capturing merchants and others, let them fend for themselves within reason; 2) betrayal is not tolerated, but it does happen, so take punishment within reason; 3) Mutiny: marron them
Nethpione reports the best she can. Now, the crew discusses the fate of Cpt. Hook, and they decide they will interrogate him tomorrow, then they will slay him, presumably. They also lay they plans upon the map. First, they will stop at Expedition One, and they will relieve the dragonborn that need to, and then they will pick up more. They will also find safe lodgings for the slaves that Cpt. Hook had in his hold. After going to Expedition One, they will investigate Giant Ruins, hopefully learning of Ilknar's fate. Finally, they will go back into the Sea of the Scions , and drop off Barrelrider and their barrels, release Scions from the Brig, and then infiltrate a vault for E'krae and their patron Lord Grivallea.

Later that night, as Rognur and Gyc assist with brig monitoring duty, the Captain Brimstone, his brother Aikhon, Teyos, and Nethpione with Mauro, attend as the night crew--Roland is awoken by a light and haphazard footsteps outside his door. He sees gold hair as he walks outside, so he begins to investigate at this late hour. He knows four people have blonde hair on the crew, and he can easily rule out two, for he hear a female voice curse herself for her failed sneakiness. Thus, Roland goes to Tsora and finds her alibi intact because of the elderly Nar, some odd hobgoblin mage. Finally, this leaves Helene, of Skiff's Powder Crew, so Roland breaks into her room and takes her almost into the grapple outside. However, the rest of the Powder Crew as well as Skiff and a few other officers awake. Furthermore, Deoy demands, as he comes in the room, his prize. They crew intuits he wants the demon flask, but Skiff convinces him it fell to the sea floor.
Meanwhile, as they sort that out, Gyc and Rognur below find a blonde stowaway, dressed in roguish leathers. She is eventually cornered behind the storage of the hold, and the group interrogates her. She says her name is Z, and she divulges that she is after Barrerider and his delivery. The group tenuously believes her, but Roland locks her in his own room, and the Captain tells the crew to go back to bed, for they have handled the stowaway issue. The Crew will not question Captain Brimstone this day.
