Session 44: Tentacled-Sharks, Teyos, and a Kraken?!

General Summary

Valia faces off versus two sharks, but that is is question, for they are born of the the trio of tentacles that burgeoned from beneath the Horizon's Call's central hull. She is joined by others while Nethpione takes control of the boat with Brimstone, giving orders to the main sailors and powder crew controlled by Auna and 76.
Ilknar is the first to jump down below, enraged and thus enlarged by his ancestral magic. He carves into the slug-like creatures, spewing the darkened blood into the waters around he and Valia.
From aboard the ship, Aikhon uses his gifted caustic, thunder charges, on the other side of the boat; Dosgratin jumps down below, his flails like propellers to assist his charge to the shark-like creature.
Also, the shark-like creatures, those born of the tentacled brain that conjoined with the Call's elemental engine, heart, the elder apparatus left over that hinted to ancient dwarven empire tech and an ability to soar through the skies. There are more, perhaps mutated orc corpses to join into the aberration's nascent evolution. Aquatic, humanoids, blind and deaf, begin to attack Dosgratin, Ilknar, and others who descend to swim in the depths around the Call.
Before taking a needed rest after this odd day, Ilknar gives Mila more of a tour. And the crew also notices that the tentacles have left the apparatus, as they rot, basically, away. The crew cleans, but also rests. Aikhon heads to find Torth, but he is on the Razor.

About 10:30 pm at night, the crew is at a minimum, a few thumps turn into a raucous reunion with a wounded Teyos. Her hand on her stomach, and she almost feints, and she has a nasty wound that has been bound, and she is taken by the crew to Ganoi and the Surgeon's quarters with Mercou. Ganoi is feverish, and Teyos asks about the staff, her voyager staff, as Aikhon and Nethpione take the staff for the Call's chests. She was bit by a Kraken, Ilknar notices, ancient stories becoming real. She lost her internal organs, and they need regeneration magic, or Teyos will slowly die.

Torth comes on the call, a cleric of the sea, maybe he can assist? But, he does not know... she has lost her lower intestines, a kidney, and other needed organs. Valia's vengeance and wrath? Nethpione warns of this tainting Teyos' soul, and Teyos finally sees Valia as another sea elf... Who the fuck are you?
Teyos then tells the story of the Kraken she awoke beneath the depths as she searched ancient ruins for the heart of Bilin, the mark of Bilin.
Torth stays with Teyos.
Ilknar reflects on his kingly connects, and finds that his family has always been opposed to the Kraken's fury. He is a Divine Representative... the Mark of the King, the Kraken seeks it to control the sea. Ilknar remembering fantasies told by his mother and aunties in the brothels of Feon.

Aikhon and Torth also reflect later in the evening, and the dragonborn warns Torth of a plot by E'krae, one that Roland and Mila eavesdropped on early in the day. Torth is worried about this separation between the Razor and the Call. Aikhon also accuses the yuanti of another plan, letting Torth confront his old friend.
With his suspicions aroused, Torth heads over to the Razor to talk to E'krae.

"Good evening." The blond human male sits on a wooden chair in the small room where E'krae sharps his rapier.
E'krae nods, and the yuanti gestures of Torth to relax, his golden snake-eyes glinting with curiosity. "You look like you have had a night. What was Ilknar so angry about, again?"
"Teyos returned. She awoke a dragon."
"For some reason I feel like that is not why we want to talk. She is okay, yes?" The snake hiss from his tongue is unmistakable.
"What are you planning?"
"Planning, my friend? Could you be more specific?"
"The Razor. That 100,000. What is the plan?"
"Well, my friend," he turns from Torth, eyes not able to lock with his eldest friend, "you know the stage of these things. We will help Thej lead these people to the next land, and then beyond."
"To the Faces, then, eh?"
It is subtle, but Torth sees E'krae shift his weight, lower his rapier to a reverse grip. He stops breathing, he grabs the heart and pockets it in his opposing pouch. He is about to run, so Torth grabs him, trying to vault E'krae back into this own bed. The agile snake-man sees this first, and kicks Torth back into the farther corner of the the small room, and he runs out. Yet, not before Torth snaps his whip to slash against the left cheek of the yuanti's face. He sprints nonetheless, hoping up onto the main deck of the Razor, then vaulting over to the Call, hoping that the skiffs are still untethered.
Torth gets to the deck, and he asks his friend why?
"E'krae turns, cocks his head, and thinks, before he says, "For you and me, and a future beyond the will of the seas and dragons and kings."
"You never cared about those kings, those beings?!"
"True, well, then for me, the child of a the great anathema... for me." And, E'krae jumps off.
Torth screams: "You fucking traitor!", and the crew begins to awake, with Valia the first to react by flashing her cloak in order to teleport and land on the skiff E'krae thought was safe, thought was free.
