Session 83: Where to Next?

We met in the guild hall and discussed next steps. We have to figure out which of the next two trials we are going to next and how we wanted to get there. After a bit of discussion we decided to travel by river to the trial and then teleport to the last trial. So we needed a few things. First of course, a boat, and second a bit more currency while we are up north. So we hit a few local shops and bought a few potions, scrolls, and magic items. Met up with Arturo and got some cocoa and let him know about the beast near the fields. Didn't seem excited about the news that the beast will be coming back over and over again, but understood. We then met with Baron McDuffey and chatted about our progress. He believes that somehow the northern group may be ahead of us. Which seems very odd, they started much later on the upper trials (at least a month) and wouldn't have near any access to teleportation to the southern trials like we did. Maybe they have some other means of quick travel, but it sounds like rumors. He also believes that Volsaid's group has been much slower, and it seems like her duties are getting in the way of staying on track. I gave McDuffey the magic seed I found as it appears he is the best prepared to take care of it. After our nice discussion we teleported north and got our boat ready for our journey west.
