We continued out fight with the lava spirits. They put up a serious fight and one nearly submerged Crestin in a lava pool. As time went on we began to remove each of the lava monsters. There was a bit of a mishap with one of my spells. I had thought it would be perfect to make Rahlak invisible. He would get a major advantage that would give us a lot of benefits. Turns out when an invisible person goes down, it's really tough to find them. Luckily I had a back up just in case, but this is a bit of unprofessional spellcasting we can't afford. I normally work to practice my spells as we travel and I don't know if it is the quicker teleportation that has me off my normal groove, but I thought I could work the spell in on the fly so to speak. That's a bit of cockiness I don't plan on repeating. I blame myself for the damage done to Rahlak and I don't know what I would do have we lost him. It's not just Rahlak, but if my spells are responsible for losing anyone in this group it would be difficult thing for me to manage. The good news is I brought him back and we quickly ended the remaining lava monsters. After that, a bit more magic to cool the water pit and we passed through it pretty easily. We rested for the night in a safe spot and in the morning we continued our movement further into the trial. While moving forward, we found a few gems that Rahlak was able to appraise and also ran into a lava shark. Lava shark... that's not something I ever planned on saying. Lucky for us, the shark was confined to the small pool and was really only able to go after Crestin. Now we continue on, not knowing what we will face next.
