Session 68: The Archimedies Conflict Part 1

Holy shit! Jean came back. Gotta say, was a pleasant surprise. Don't know what was going on, but I am glad Jean is back with us. We took a moment to speak with the Gnome we rescued. Turns out he is from within the mountains themselves, a civilization Borgland had never discovered. Which means we are now up to two civilizations. Which is pretty neat, but not terribly unexpected. He gave us directions to his city and it turns out that the Dragon we just met has taken up her home near the Gnome civilization. Which is bad news, but also means we could prove ourselves useful to this newly met people. We decided instead of going and fighting the dragon to instead move forward towards the next trial. We traveled for four days and got to the base of the trial. Taking a nice shear float up we came upon 4 air elementals/ djinn. We talked a bit and they wanted to use us to get passed the trials. Because their intent for accomplishing the trials is the antithesis of our own, we politely declined. So we fought. We took a major advantage early in the fight until one of the Djinn asked Archimedies for intervention. I guess this dude was being listened to because the old bastard showed up. Now we are a bit on our heels as Archimedies has changed not only the difficulty, but also the landscape of the fight.
