Lawless Steppes

Situated south in Tarien's Great Belt of the Rheuthengage Mountains, between the Rheuthen Basin to the west and the Denton Plains to the east, the Lawless Steppes do not, surprisingly, get their name from the infamous town of Katzpütch, which lies at its center but rather from the chaotic weather one encounters there. At the terminus of winds and storms that blow in from the Sea of Storms, the Steppes have some of the most terrifying thunderstorms, hale, and twisters on all of Tarien. This heavy storms common in the spring and fall, drown the Steppes in water, making its grasses lush, and thick, the perfect place for buffalo and antelope to hide and for the wolves and lions that prey upon them. In recent years, however, the influx of traffic to and traffic, including the great herds of cattle driven from Mennith or around Dalencroft, have thinned out predator and prey alike.
