Pontrien River
Flowing cold and fast out of the Frosted Mountains near Pash-ti the Pontrien becomes wide, slow, and shallow as is works it way south through the Darien Plain, gradually drying out until it fills again with the great rains that fall on the Jungles of Thallox. While the great river, perhaps Tarien's longest, never truly dries up, some parts in the southern Darien Plains turn to a trickle between muddy ponds during the summer months, much to the displeasure of the crocodiles and snake-like dinosaurs that it make their home.
