Kiit'pi'et River

Long and cold, the Kiit'pi'et River flows east and south out of the Gestalt Mountains cutting a fertile plain between the range and the forests closer to the coast until it empties into the Bay of Sorrow near Bren'niin. Deep rather than wide, the fast flowing river separates the mountain wildlife of the mountains - bears, elk, and goats - from the smaller creatures more common in the forests along the coast. Its waters taste faintly of iron near its headwaters and several joint Flind and Khadra expeditions have scouted the location for potential mining sites. In the early summer its waters teem with salmon fighting their way upriver against the strong current to spawn.
