Panteryme

A Grennig town with a Soulmeliti name and a story to match. Founded in the years after the docks of the city were first built, Pateryme was, and still is today, a farming community. First built around small family homesteads, where pilgrims and second sons from The Eldoria could start their lives anew, it was the introduction of Soulmeliti agricultural products and techniquesthat allowed it to flourish. Introduced by a trader from New Solarin who had been ruined by the closing of trade in Mennith, drew upon knowledge of irrigation and crop combinations to improve the health of the soil. He introduced small green soy beans, fields of peanuts, and flooded fields for rice paddies. Others watched and adopted his practices. In Soulmeliti hands, these techniques increased leisure time, to contemplate art and philosophy. In industrious Human the lead to surplus food supplies to feed the growing city and of course, profits.

Today, a few dozen families, alongside Gestavein's grandson Belkin, have completely modernized the system into highly efficient plantations. It is said that Panteryme could feed all of Grennig for supper and still produce pies for desert. Belkin himself has taken his passion into the kitchen, serving farm fresh foods that combine Soulmeliti flavors with human ingredients. His beef with rice noodles is often served at Castle Kalidor to visiting dignitaries. His restaurant and inn, despite its distance from the Grennig, as a waiting list that often extends to a full moon. Fortunately, a haf-dozen competitors have opened along the road between Panteryme and Grennig. The inn, like much of the rest of the town, has taken to pagodas and other Soulemliti style architecture, though adapted for life in grasslands and along the coast. With grass and garden roofs, the town is built directly into the rolling hills of the coast, somehow achieving an airy feeling despite being underground.
