Gráhúlysía

Gráhúlysía is a vast region in northern Adynía, between the Darka Mountains to the west, the Meldon Plain and Central Sea to the south, Úrún via the Rúk River to the southeast, the Wild Mountains to the east and the wastelands beyond them to the northeast, and Silver Sea to the north.
It's home to a number of settled and nomadic societies, most of which consist of humans of varying orcish and elven ancestry.

Geography

Much of Gráhúlysía is covered in coniferous forest, which give way to taigas and finally coastal tundras to the north, while to the southwest the area around Tárútan Lake is a fertile plain known as Lera. The terrain is quite rugged to the east and near the Darka Mountains foothills to the west, with swamps being prominent in central Gráhúlysía.
The largest river in the region is Úló River, which originates in Skorda Lake up in the Lakú Mountains to the east and flows northwest into Silver Sea. Between the Lakú- and Wild Mountains is the lone Mt. Kotrax, which is considered sacred and a place of pilgrimage to many gráhúlysíans.
The climate is characterized by mild summers and cold winters, with farming being most prominent in Lera while most inhabitants subsist mainly on pastoralism, hunting and fishing.

Natural Resources

Iron, gold, silver and other metals are found in modest quantities in the Lakú Mountains, while bog iron is common in the central swamps.
