Núrak

Núrak covers the area along the Silver Sea coast in western Adynía, bordering Larúnas to the south, the Sjorgús Mountains to the southeast, Nemirkía to the east and the Meldon Plain to the northeast.

Geography

Núrak is characterized by a hilly terrain and deciduous forests, with the exception of the northernmost region -which is covered in a mixed forest- and the Úlvan Plain nestled between the hills to the south. Two major rivers flow through Núrak; Nanave to the south and Vakatír to the north.
The climate is fairly mild, especially along the coast and in the southern regions, with sleet being frequent during winter in the hinterland, and snowfall to the north.

Fauna & Flora

Local wildlife includes wolves, bears, boars and especially rabbits (the ancient Zameltoníans often referred to Núrak as Orúz Rozí or 'Rabbit Forest'), but the most famous creatures in the region are the Sylvan Unicorns to the north and Pegasi along the southern border.
Pears and plums are native to Núrak, along with grapes, mint, wild onions and carrots. Roses are common in the region, widely used in food and traditional medicine as well as for ornamental purposes.
