Leaf ore
Leaf ore1 is a kind of metal which is especially common in western Adynía, though it's found in small amount elsewhere as well. It's mostly used to make emerald steel2.
History & Usage
Discovery
Núrakic Elves were the first to use leaf ore around 8000 years ago, obtaining it from either streams or exposed veins in the hills of Núrak.
Everyday use
Though it's sometimes used for ornaments, belt buckles, brooches and such, leaf ore is mostly used to used to make emerald steel for weapons and arms. Such equipment is especially popular in Núrak and, to lesser extend, the Sikíron Empire and Kingdom of Marissía.
Refinement
Refined leaf ore is commonly known as emerald steel, due to its lustrous olive-green appearance.
