Dap Hills
Navalede: Dap /ta:ph/
High-Tapalic: Dæp /taiph/
Þígean: Ahinir /a:hɪnɪɾ/
The Dap Hills1 is a rugged region which covers much of southern and central Núrak in western Adynía and gives the region its quintessential landscape, and extend all the way to southwestern Nemirkía to the east.
Most of the hills fall under the Kingdom of Núrak and the rest are controlled by its main rival, the Sikíron Empire, though the rest of the Dap Hills in Nemirkía have been a disputed territory for centuries.
The northern part of the hills are home to Núrakic Elves, as is the southern region along with a significant community of Þígeans and far smaller ones descended from Paheiríen-Elves who fled there after the western Sjorgús Mountains became home to Dragons. Many Nartens, a mostly human tribe, live in the eastern núrakic-side of the Dap Hills, while the easternmost part is home to Nemirkíans.

Geography
A number of creeks and rivers flow through the Dap Hills, the most notable ones being Nanave to the west and Geþrus to the east. Mt. Hiril in northern Núrak is technically a part of the region, connected by a series of low hills, but is generally considered a separate entity by the inhabitants. Nestled between the southwestern hills is the Úlvan Plain, where some of the finest horses in Núrak are bred.
Notable settlements in the region are Arþólen, Nalate and Þúralen, all part of the Kingdom of Núrak.

Fauna & Flora
Notable wildlife in the hills include wolves, bears, deer and -near the Sjorgús Mountains- Pegasi, the latter which are currently the virtually only ones found in western Adynía.
Natural Resources
The Dap Hills is a major wine-growing region, and dotted with quarries for obtaining fine Þúralic marble.
History
Historically, the region was split into a number of different countries and tribes, with the most powerful ones prior to the unification of Núrak being Ekal and Kílis north of the river Nanave and Tapalas to the south.
