Great Expanse
The Great Expanse is a massive ocean that occupies nearly all of the southern part of the world of Zalastor. It is known for its seemingly unending horizons where you can travel for weeks without witnessing land. Sailors swear by legends that the sea is actually unending and goes on forever but scholars call this into question. The weather is known to change at the drop of a hat, going from calm seas to crashing waves and massive storms seemingly at once. Due to this most of the faithful of Ularsil believe his great underwater kingdom where he dwells in somewhere in the deep waters of this ocean and sailors are said to pray to him every time they ever have to venture into these waters.
History
The Great Expanse is said to have been created first among the great bodies of water of the world. Alari is said to have created it to behold the great beauty of water at all times for it is said to be able to be seen from any point south of the Grey Mountains. After Ularsil was created he is said to have been gifted the ocean as his home and he took to creating his own kingdom there far from the eyes of the other gods.
