Anore Forest (Uh-nor-A)
The Anore Forest is a medium sized forest on the eastern side of the Tilan River on the east coast of the island of Sildra. It fall entirely within the domain of the Kingdom of Sildra-Tor. It is a mixed oak forest consisting of Northern red oak, white oak, bur oak, black oak, northern pin oak along with small minorities of black walnut, white pine, and white and green ash.
Geography
A loosely packed forest known for its trees being good distances from each other for a forest. It has a thinly packed underbrush and thus is known to be easy to traverse. Its border abound with many small creeks and streams that fill up during rainstorms and then dry out before the next storm can hit. Its terrain is very slowly sloping down toward the sea in the east with gradual drops in incline.
History
Scholars believe the forest was created along the same time as the island of Sildra by the god Tarsen during the creation of all the great landmasses of the world. It is named after the village to the southwest of it of the same name as scholars believe the village was founded some time before the discovery of the forest.
