Kingdom of Sildra-Tor (Sill-dra Tore)
The Kingdom of Sildra-Tor is a large kingdom in the very northwest of the world that rules over the Sildra and Tor islands. They are ruled currently by King Corellion II. They are a warlike kingdom that primarily venerate the god Alios and embody his personality and love for war. A newer nation compared to most in the world, they rose to power around a hundred years ago and have stormed their way to being one of the strongest nations in the world. The kingdom is known for its many deep-water ports and lush forests along with its high mountain range running through the center of the island of Sildra. They are also well known for their very skilled warriors and tacticians which has won them great respect on the battlefield.
Structure
The kingdom is an absolute monarchy and is ruled by a king. The kings will is exercised by his stewards in all the major cities which are the heads of the most powerful noble houses. There is one steward for every major city including the capital that oversee the day to day affairs of the particular city they govern over.
Culture
A warlike, deeply religious society that is driven by conquest. They are known to be unkind and closed off to strangers and while not officially xenophobic as state policy many citizens of the nation are outright hostile to outsiders. They primarily worship Alios and exemplify his ideals as a society. Gladiatorial combat plays a huge role within their society. Fighting pits are extremely well funded and attended by the masses and serve as primary entertainment in most major cities and towns. Smithing and crafting of all types is also deeply ingrained within the culture of the nation, and people tend to prefer to make things rather than buy them.
History
A relatively new nation in comparison to most in the world they were founded in 1403 AC by Corellion the Unifier of house Silverfawn after he gathered up an army and went city by city and town by town uniting through force and diplomacy the peoples of the island of Sildra. After uniting the main island, he crossed the Bay of Illaria with a large force and conquered the peoples of the island of Tor. Both islands had remained a collection of city states and warlords since the Conjoining until he united them under one nation. After a hundred years or so of solidifying their power base a new king came to the throne by the name of Corellion II, the original kings great grandson. Corellion II used the influence of the Cult of Alios to whip the people of his nation into a religious frenzy against the people of the Listuroni Sultanate due to their strong worship of the goddess Alari. A crusade was called in the year 1500 AC nearly one hundred years after the founding of the nation. The crusade caught the Listuroni Sultanate by surprise because a formal declaration of war had not been sent until after the kingdom attacked them. The crusade was very successful at first, taking the city of Helion in the very northwest of the sultanate. However, progress since that point has slowed to nearly a halt as the sultanate has mounted a successful defense since then. The war between the two nations now has ground down to a stalemate.
Demography and Population
The population centers in the coastal cities but is heavily more concentrated on the island of Sildra with less than forty percent of the population living on the island of Tor. Around sixty to seventy percent of the population lives within the cities on the coast with the rest spread through rural villages and towns. Most of the population is made up of Hill Dwarves , High Elves , and Humans, although there are minorities of other species especially in the larger cities.
The Kingdom has a variety of differing social and economic classes and groups. Workers of all trades can be found although smithing, crafting, and soldiering are all very common professions.
Territories
The kingdom fully controls the islands of Sildra and Tor while also recently coming into possession of the very northwest tip of the continent of Zalas after conquering it from the Listuroni Sultanate five years ago in the first crusade.
Religion
The kingdoms official state religion is that of the Cult of Alios and everyone that is a citizen is expected to pay tribute to Alios. Worship of all the gods of the world is allowed except for the worship of Alari as she is considered the god of the enemy since she is the main god of the Listuroni Sultanate. Aside from Alios worship of Iasis and Ularsil is especially popular because of the warlike nature of the kingdom and its position situated on two islands.
Foreign Relations
The kingdom is currently at war with the Listuroni Sultanate after declaring and carrying out a successful crusade somewhat by surprise against them. The hostilities have remained in the time since although actual combat has slowed down and both nations have recently agreed to hold peace talks.
Relations with the Tangir Sultanate are very frosty due to the sultanates close ties with the Listuroni Sultanate who the kingdom is at war with. Officially there is still trade between the two nations although this is thought by many due to the threat of invasion were the sultanate to bar trade from the kingdom.
Relations with the Golden Khanate are somewhat friendly due to the two nations sharing many cultural similarities. There is ongoing trade between them and the two nations regularly meet to discuss diplomacy. There is talk by some that an official alliance will be declared between the two nations in the near future.
The kingdom has only nominal relations with the Free Cities, the Abasid Caliphate, and The Dread Lords. This is mostly due to the large distances between these nations and the kingdom itself.
The kingdom has nearly nonexistent relations with the Ashiri Empire due to the empire total isolation from the world.

Legislative Body
The King himself is the only one who makes new laws and abolishes old ones. He decides when or if there will be new laws after hearing advice from his council, but he has the final say on anything and everything.
Judicial Body
Alios' Justice. A panel of judges appointed directly by the king himself. There are a separate panel for each major city and then a high panel that resides within the capital that has authority over the other panels, but ultimately they all are subservient to the king.
Executive Body
The crown is ultimately responsible for enforcing the law but its will is carried out through the use of the military and the local town watches.
