Iasis (Eye-A-sis)

(a.k.a. The Smith, The Maker, The Artisan)

Iasis, otherwise known as the Smith or the Maker, is the goddess of forging, smithing, crafting and writing. She is supposedly the younger sister of Ibris and second eldest of all the children of Tarsen and Alari. She is associated with the forge and crafting but also writing and creating in general which leads to some scholars referring to her as a god of creation. She is most strongly worshipped by craftsmen and smiths as they pray for her hands to work through them into their crafts to produce quality goods. Worship of her is mostly strong in the Kingdom of Sildra-Tor but is worshipped everywhere as her domains are important to most people. She is known to be a stern and serious goddess who tends to value directness as opposed to discretion. She is usually depicted as a well muscled woman at a forge.
