Genasi
Genasi are humanoid species that resemble the elementals of the world. They reside almost exclusively within the different forests of the world and are very rarely seen outside them. They are thought to originate within the forests but exactly where has yet to be proven. They are distinct from the other species of the world due to their obvious elemental lineage and nature and due to their almost complete isolation within the forests of the world. The species is typically seen as having average intelligence. They are also known to shun most civilizations and to be experts at hiding deep within the forests they call home.

Geographic Origin and Distribution
The species is almost entirely found within the natural forests of the world. They can be found in very small numbers in almost every major forest of the world although are usually hidden away within them. Very rarely can they be found outside their forest homes especially near cities.

The species is not apart of any major organizations in the world generally. They mostly keep to themselves within the forests of the world and stay away from influencing the outside world.

History
Unlike most of the species of the world the Genasi are believed by most historians and scholars to not have been created by the gods of the world. Instead they are believed to have come about through the influence of the four main types of the elementals. It is believed that Humans living within close proximity to where an elemental dwells can have the magic of the elemental seep into their body and soul over time changing them into a sort of half human-half elemental. This is believed to have happened long ago to some early Humans and thus the Genasi were born. Where or when these changes took place is largely unknown but what is known is that Genasi seem to always be pulled to the forests of the world and this has led scholars to speculate that it must have something to do with the forests of the world. In recent times seeing a Genasi is a very rare sight and usually only if the Genasi wants to be seen. This typically can only happen deep within the heart of a forest as the species is thought to shun most civilization.
