Quantum Entropy Neutralizer QEN

By utilizing a property of magnetic monopoles where after quantum wavefunction interference through Superposition Influencers, the monopoles organize themselves. This seems to violate the 2nd law of thermodynamics by destroying entropy. 

An extremely useful and advanced technology, they can reverse the direction of temperature flow, making them extremely useful as heat vents - or to heat an object to immense temperature.

They are used as heat vents in ships as an object is heated up to huge temperatures, making use of black body radiation. Huge scale versions are used for most megastructures such as Dyson Spheres and star lifters.

The mass production of these machines is considered strong evidence for the Suons’ mastery of quantum physics. Developed by a team of only the best suon minds, it is one of the most respected pieces of equipment in the entire Hyperion Federation. If there is any one technology that can save them from the ravenous Hyperion Empire or other existantial threat, it is either this or the IGWD. We cannot say any more, because to do so would be an insult.    
Initially, disorganised magnetic monopoles are sent into a chamber within the device. By studying the pattern in probability variations in a quantum jump, the wavefunction collapse becomes more predictable.   The quantum wavefunction of these monopoles are then interfered by photon streams with precicely tuned wavelengths. This then forces the collapse to happen in the desired way.   To conduct such massive quantities of heat energy so rapidly, special materials are used. In these materials, individual phonons vibrate in a similar way to sound waves, which is a significantly faster method of heat conduction than the regular method of diffusion. This property is known as second sound, and can make manipulation of heat and entropy much easier.

Controversy

  Despite the large sucess of QEN machines in Hyperion societies, concerns and controversies have been raised about them. For example, several criminals have used them to become immortal by using QENs in their body to nullify the ageing process. The HF normally does not do this because it is considered largely unethical.   Furthermore, there are groups that have expressed concern about the key role QENs have to play in Nicoll-Dyson Beams. Despite the extremely low chance that a nicoll-dyson beam could be fired at another HF world or star system, it is a possibilty many are scared of.
Before the introduction of QEN technology, it was nesessary to build very large and complex heat management devices on all starships and stations to prevent heat from the engine and reactors from melting the entire starship. Additionally, many forms of chemical and nuclear reactions would be extremely hard to reverse, such as combustion for example, but using QEN the entropy of the system can be decreased easily and place the atoms into the correct area.    To the HF, this is especially important because of their use of high energy technology, which produces much more heat. The many bright, glowing blue lines and shapes seen in most HF starships are rows of QEN heatsinks. It is also this energy emission that results in the very large energy signatures of HF starships.   Another key advantage of the QEN is that it massively improves the speed and energy efficiency of Replicators. Under normal conditions, placing atoms into their correct spots requires a lot of energy and time because of the near-violation of the uncertainty principle.   Dyson Spheres will melt without an extremely advanced heat dissipation system as no technology is 100% efficient. HF Dyson spheres manage heat by sending it through heat-conductive paths in the sphere itself and then direct the heat to a QEN heat vent. Without use of QENs, these conductive paths will heat up to extremely high temperatures and radiate most of its heat within the megastructure itself which leads to the sphere melting itself. Using QENs, this system is viable as the heat conducting paths can be of a low temperature and still conduct heat towards the extremely hot radiator. In a HF Dyson sphere, heat conductive paths are at a temperature that is safe to touch by organics.
