Hydra Double Barrel Railgun

Powerful railgun turret with 2 barrels. By the Hyperion Federation, it features high accuracy and very long range. Its fire rate is high but yield is comparatively low relative to other Hyperion weapons. It sends its rounds through large superconducting, heat resistant rails along with a massive electrical current. It also fires the round in multiple different subspace dimensions, all quantum-entangled, so that they all have the same inertia, which effectively multiplies the bullets kinetic energy several-thousand fold. And the number only increases as technology improves.   The Hydra also has a powerful explosive as propellant, which adds to the velocity of the weapon significantly. It was designed by an Aquris Ace War-Engineers. This person, despite his aquatic nature, designed this railgun which does not function underwater. It was found to be a very powerful middle ground between power, fire rate, reliability, and various other factors. This has prompted the HF to adopt it as a very baseline weapon, and it remains in very common use long after its introduction. (It was upgraded over time with higher energy levels and stronger superconducting alloys). He highly enjoyed designing the weapon, as do all war-engineers. He built it to counter another war-engineer's army of robots, and he needed a railgun with high power and respectable rate of fire.   To prevent wear on the rails, they are supercooled immediately after firing by using QEN technology. Heat is transferred extremely rapidly using second sound, which allows the rails to cool down to normal temperature mere seconds after firing, despite them being many thousands of kelvin immediately after firing. The rails are also repaired using nanobots in case of damage, while it is still being reloaded. This keeps the weapon in full functioning order for eternity as long as it has enough power and ammo supplied.
